I for one only give negative rep if someone says something absolutely asinine or illogical. There's plenty of things I disagree with, but if they're well reasoned and coherent I've got no problem with it.

Re: Who is "weakest" team with winning record?
I know you're a longtime member and usually put a lot of thought into your posts. And, I don't recall reading any of your posts and thinking, "WTF." So, I don't know exactly why you are getting negative reputation points. My guess is that you are being lumped in with less-thoughtful people who are saying things like, "we are is the worests team in tha worlsds." It's unfair, but it seems like two camps are developing on this site (the Kool-Aid Crew and the Negative Nancies) and there is little room for people who are somewhere in between.

22nd in the league in scoring 21st in the league in tds 20th in the league in yards per game 26th in the league in passing The Skins are mediocre because they it took them overtime to beat 2 pathetic teams in the Dolphins and the Jets. AND the Skins are mediocre because they almost lost to the Cardinals who played Kurt Warner with 1 freaking arm and refused to blitz him the entire game. Do you want anymore reasons why the Skins aren't all that good or have I satisfied your curiosity? Last edited by paulskinsfan; 11-06-2007 at 09:48 PM. Reason: I calmed down, and then edited. |

If your going to use stats instead of wins to consider a team mediocre than your going about it all wrong, we set a league record for the least amount of offensive yards in the playoff game against Tampa Bay, and we still won, was anyone complaining and calling us mediocre then? Stats are for fantasy football |

dont hold your breath on the skins opening up the offense. We have these so called playmakers but never use them. Cooley is never utilized. He could be like witten if we use him. We threw on bomb to Moss once we should do that at least once a quarter. And stop using Thrash as our deep threat.

Re: Who is "weakest" team with winning record?
-The Bucs have scored only 12 more points than us, and played one more game
-The Bucs lost to the Lions -The Bucs are down to their 3rd RB (I think) -The Ravens barely beat the 2-6 Bengals and 2-6 49ers -The Ravens have scored 28 points less than we have, and played one less game -The Ravens haven't exactly set the world on fire at the QB position -The Browns barely beat the 2-6 Raiders -The Browns have allowed 73 more points than us, and played the same number of games So alls I'm saying is a lot of teams have "issues" that we seem to lump only on the Redskins.

You have to say Baltimore, because they aren't in a division like ours and they dont have that many hard games this season.

Re: Who is "weakest" team with winning record?
the reason we lump it on the skins is because their the team we care about. We want the skins to win and kick ass and were tired of them struggling against crappy teams. Yes a bad win is better than a lost. But big picture this team not going anywhere until this offense pulls their weight. Where is the improvement on this team after 8 games? D starting to show some wholes, ST gave up a KO return sunday and god this offense is sad. Keeping JC underwraps makes no sense. Let the man play and let him make his mistakes and learn. 3 yard passed when its third and 5 is getting old. 8 yard passes on third and 10 etc. The skins can do better that what we all want, and yes we won which is great but let be real and say this team has to improve or we are going nowhere fast. We have a chance in this crappy NFC to make the playoffs. If we play like we have the last two weeks we wont.

Re: Who is "weakest" team with winning record?
Personally, I believe I've moved on from being unimpressed to acceptance that this is the team we've got. Take away the Patriots and the Colts, and to a lesser degree the Cowchips and the Packers, and the 28 remaining teams are completely up in the air. Apart from the clubs at the very top, any of the other teams are as vulnerable or as dominant as they feel like being from week to week.
My beef isn't necessarily with the players we have now, because they are what they are, and due to ass-kicking we've been taking in the injury department, there's only so far this team is going to go. And for the most part, the players are giving us the best they're capable of -- the obvious exceptions are Santana Moss, and up until yesterday, Clinton Portis. Those are guys who need to step the hell up. Now, a separate argument is what this front office has done to prepare for injuries, and the track record they've had over four years to right this ship. Is it legitimate to complain that we aren't in that top tier of the league? I think so. That's where my hate is directed. |
