Maybe cause those who have the points to give take care of their own? By the way, if someone is gonna give you negative rep points you should know who those individuals are. The whole rep points thing is pointless.
A pointless point system? That's ironic.

I for one only give negative rep if someone says something absolutely asinine or illogical. There's plenty of things I disagree with, but if they're well reasoned and coherent I've got no problem with it.

I know you're a longtime member and usually put a lot of thought into your posts. And, I don't recall reading any of your posts and thinking, "WTF." So, I don't know exactly why you are getting negative reputation points. My guess is that you are being lumped in with less-thoughtful people who are saying things like, "we are is the worests team in tha worlsds." It's unfair, but it seems like two camps are developing on this site (the Kool-Aid Crew and the Negative Nancies) and there is little room for people who are somewhere in between.

I feel you SSG. Sometimes I feel like I'm the middle of the battle of the titans here sometimes. I don't think there's anything wrong with being a kool-aid drinker or a negative ass as long as you can back up what you're saying. I mean if you think the Skins suck but you can actually back up your statement, I don't think there should be such a terrible backlash. Now these trollers who just roll up in here saying "Skins suck" and thats all. Or those people who say, "Game Over" When we're up by 7, those guys suck ad I can understand wanting to strangle them with piano wire. But can't we take it easier on those who dissent as long as they are dissenting rationally?

I definitely think we need more middle-of-the-roaders. We need people who are fans and see the good, but who are willing to speak their minds about the bad as well. I think that it you have bad things to say about the team, coaches, or players, and you speak your piece in a thoughtful and articulate manner, you will generally be well-received. If, however, you are saying "ridicules" things (e.g., "we are the woretsr team in the hole world") and being negative, expect to be "ridickuled."

We are all fans of a very very mediocre team, in an extremely mediocre division. But for heavens sake, dont bitch, just ask for a refill of the Kool Aid cause Gibbs and Company will turn it around!

So barely beating a bad team means your a mediocre team? So does that mean Dallas narrowly, and I mean NARROWLY, escaping defeat at the hands of the Bills makes them mediocre. What about New England who had to use all 4 quarters to put the Browns away? The funny thing is when we lose to a good team like Green Bay, who beat us by a complete fluke of a play, were better than them and should have won, but when we beat teams that we should beat, no matter how you beat them, the team is criticized for not completely demolishing them. Were you the same fans complaining the year we made the playoffs after we loss to the horrible Raiders, crying that the season was over? Come on already, were two games over .500, completely in the thick of the playoff race and were considered mediocre because we dont crush teams.

Sigh. No sir, we are a mediocre team because as of today the Skins are the following:

22nd in the league in scoring
21st in the league in tds
20th in the league in yards per game
26th in the league in passing

The Skins are mediocre because they it took them overtime to beat 2 pathetic teams in the Dolphins and the Jets. AND the Skins are mediocre because they almost lost to the Cardinals who played Kurt Warner with 1 freaking arm and refused to blitz him the entire game. Do you want anymore reasons why the Skins aren't all that good or have I satisfied your curiosity?

Why didnt you put up defensive rankings, is offense the only side of the ball? So there mediocre because the Skins barely defeated the Cardinals, you do realize the Cardinals beat the Steelers, the third best team in the AFC. You give me no reasons at all, your using victories as the reason for the skins being mediocre. This is the NFL, were not going to blow out opponents week after week, it just doesnt happen like that. We didnt blitz Kurt Warner at all and guess what? he threw two picks, one of which went for a touchdown, not to mention Andre Carter sacked him and forced a fumble, so we were able to get three turnovers without blitzing, but obviously you know more about coaching defense than Gregg Williams. A win is a win, do you think Dallas is complaining about barely beating Buffalo?
If your going to use stats instead of wins to consider a team mediocre than your going about it all wrong, we set a league record for the least amount of offensive yards in the playoff game against Tampa Bay, and we still won, was anyone complaining and calling us mediocre then? Stats are for fantasy football

dont hold your breath on the skins opening up the offense. We have these so called playmakers but never use them. Cooley is never utilized. He could be like witten if we use him. We threw on bomb to Moss once we should do that at least once a quarter. And stop using Thrash as our deep threat.

Re: Who is "weakest" team with winning record?

-The Bucs have scored only 12 more points than us, and played one more game
-The Bucs lost to the Lions
-The Bucs are down to their 3rd RB (I think)

-The Ravens barely beat the 2-6 Bengals and 2-6 49ers
-The Ravens have scored 28 points less than we have, and played one less game
-The Ravens haven't exactly set the world on fire at the QB position

-The Browns barely beat the 2-6 Raiders
-The Browns have allowed 73 more points than us, and played the same number of games

So alls I'm saying is a lot of teams have "issues" that we seem to lump only on the Redskins.

You have to say Baltimore, because they aren't in a division like ours and they dont have that many hard games this season.

Re: Who is "weakest" team with winning record?

the reason we lump it on the skins is because their the team we care about. We want the skins to win and kick ass and were tired of them struggling against crappy teams. Yes a bad win is better than a lost. But big picture this team not going anywhere until this offense pulls their weight. Where is the improvement on this team after 8 games? D starting to show some wholes, ST gave up a KO return sunday and god this offense is sad. Keeping JC underwraps makes no sense. Let the man play and let him make his mistakes and learn. 3 yard passed when its third and 5 is getting old. 8 yard passes on third and 10 etc. The skins can do better that what we all want, and yes we won which is great but let be real and say this team has to improve or we are going nowhere fast. We have a chance in this crappy NFC to make the playoffs. If we play like we have the last two weeks we wont.

Sure, I hear all that. I think, though, that too often we tend to put so many other teams on a higher level and ignore/refuse to acknowledge that all around the league there are teams struggling on offense, defense, special teams, front office moves, etc.

It doesn't hurt to think positive sometimes, but maybe others don't feel that way

Re: Who is "weakest" team with winning record?

Personally, I believe I've moved on from being unimpressed to acceptance that this is the team we've got. Take away the Patriots and the Colts, and to a lesser degree the Cowchips and the Packers, and the 28 remaining teams are completely up in the air. Apart from the clubs at the very top, any of the other teams are as vulnerable or as dominant as they feel like being from week to week.

My beef isn't necessarily with the players we have now, because they are what they are, and due to ass-kicking we've been taking in the injury department, there's only so far this team is going to go. And for the most part, the players are giving us the best they're capable of -- the obvious exceptions are Santana Moss, and up until yesterday, Clinton Portis. Those are guys who need to step the hell up.

Now, a separate argument is what this front office has done to prepare for injuries, and the track record they've had over four years to right this ship. Is it legitimate to complain that we aren't in that top tier of the league? I think so. That's where my hate is directed.
