Turnovers, yes. Was Carlos Rogers looking past them when he shut down Torry Holt? Was the defensive front looking past them when they pressured and hit Bulger all day making him cower after his throws? Did Portis and the OL overlook the Rams when they were chewing out 5+ yards per carry? Was Pete Kendall overlooking the Rams when he tried to advance a pass he caught?

We did MOST things on the field today just as well as we had been doing them over our first 5 games. We simply 1) turned the ball over too much, and 2) did not protect the quarterback vs. a very impressive pass rush.

Neither of those things constitutes overlooking the Rams. I agreed with you that we probably outplayed them, but they played well enough on defense to keep a single fluke touchdown as the margin of victory.

I wholeheartly agree, I hate the pundits that were saying "oh the Redskins overlooked the Rams" or "they were too confident". The Redskins played a decent game save for the turnovers, and the Rams played very well in the second half against a superior team.

Well I rather have a trap game now than later in the season. I must say that the Redskins don't do well with success, and well they won't be the target anymore. The pundits will now overlook our team, drop them from their rankings.

Maybe I'm sadistic but I LOVED seeing Wade Phillips jumping around like they just won the Super Bowl after the fieldgoal then losing the game.

Sadistic? Hell no brother! I think everyone who isn't a Cowboys fan got a huge kick outta that. TO with another bad game. He's had 3 or fewer catches in 4 out of their 6 ballgames. Implosion is imminent. God that makes me happy.

At least we will be going into next week's game ready to whoop the Browns' asses to relieve some anger from today's loss.

Amazing. This is the attitude so many of us had going into today's game. Good thing we learned a lot from assuming a victory.

Yeah we'll probably lose now. I'm just getting a little fired up GMScud, it'll be alright.

Re: The Skins Won't Win Another Game!

They got it together at the end, but it was too late. Couple sacks would have iced it for the Skins at the end, but not much of a pass rush, which has always been our Achilles heal today. Still, the sloppy play was inexcusable. We better put up 30+ up on the Browns and Lions. We need to "pad" our record before we face the Steelers.

Re: The Skins Won't Win Another Game!

It's also important to remember that the Rams roster has talent scattered throughout it, and has merely been hampered by the simultaneous decline of Holt, Pace, and Bulger. Holt and Bulger were basically non-factors in this one, but outside of them and piss poor blocking that the Rams have become known for, their talent had a really strong day. I think Steven Jackson played really well, Leonard Little and Pisa Tinoisamoa were strong, and Chris Long might have had a breakout day with a fumble recovery.

So yeah, we got beat by a team that isn't that good, but they are probably better than the next two teams we will play.

Don't underestimate the Browns, they have more talent than the Rams and Lions combined and will beat the Giants tomorrow night
