I don't think they got 3 EXCELLENT players; Boley is ok(minus beating his wife) Canty is very good but Dallas didnt try and keep him. And the Giants only added to their strongest part of the team.

IF our FO did this same thing many here would be complaining that we didn't address areas of needs. And Boley's character would have been a huge issue. And Canty is a 3-4 that doesn't fit. Etc Etc

(Tee, I just drank some of the orange- still good )

SportingNews.com - Your expert source for NFL Football stats, scores, standings, blogs and fantasy news from NFL Football columnists Canty is very good but Dallas didnt try and keep him. And the Giants only added to their strongest part of the team.

Maybe their d-line will play offensive line and Canty can replace Plax at WR.

Look at the teams that went far this year(except arizona). Its about the defense. Take Maluauga and we have to hope that D thomas and M Kelly step up. Our O-line is trouble but you can patch holes where needed to make it work. Defense wins championships, we have to hope Campbell can keep it together and not loose games for us

Actually, one of the reasons Arizona went to the SB was because their defense finally played well enough to compliment their powerful offense. Good observation on this post through.

The number 4 defense in total yards couldn't have bought us a playoff spot last year. Eventually you have to move the ball somehow.

You can only see Campbell on his ass so many times before you start to put two and two together.

True. The Cards defense peaked at the end of the season and into the playoffs.

BTW I got everything figured out (posted on another thread first): we'll package Golston or Monty w/ ARL and our last draft pick for Detroit's 20th overall. This way we get A. Smith or Oher @ 13 and probably still get Rey at 20. Should be easy...

Yes, but last year our defense wasn't as elite as Tennessee or Baltimore. I think this year it could get there, but also this year we should have a better/younger offensive line.

Time will tell, won't it? What do you think Bobby Beathard would have done? Sign a single player or plug the holes were you need them? I say plug the holes.

Re: Room for disappointment in FA?

But the Giants arent plugging holes, they are getting redundant and lesser players than what they already have-hence not upgrading their team, everyone agrees that Haynesworth, even a less motivated one(if he becomes that) is a huge upgrade to our line.
I don't think you can compare eras like that. There was no real FA or salary cap when Beathard was here, so anything I think about that would be speculation.
Finally, I haven't seen a lot of top quality FA OL guys signed. Brown was the only one, and the Ravens fans I talked to were not too sad to see him go. We went out and got high quality on an area that definitely could be improved.

The blue & orange Kool-Aid combination is the most lethal. In no time you should be seeing Chief Zee dressed as a Mad Hatter in a field of war painted rabbits. He'll take you down a rabbithole where you'll be shown through a walkthough exhibition about how the years of spending in free agency and trading away draft picks has actually benefitted the Redskins in the long run.

You'll wake up on a bed in the master suite at Dan Snyder's personal residence. You'll have a weird taste in your mouth and feel really groggy. You'll notice that your Redskins warmups you were wearing are on a nearby loveseat. Your last memory will be the voice of ole' Danny whispering "How's my Kool-Aid taste?"
