He did have some similarities with the king. Prescription drug use? He married the Kings daughter. Big time recluse. Self-proclaimed King of pop, etc.

Like others said the cases against him fell to pieces whenever the matters became serious (like statements under oath or on the stand). Jackson was clearly a bit off, like mentally ill, but i doubt the allegations of actual abuse were ever true...

A poor soul no doubt. A mega-talent who couldn't find happiness. RIP.

He definitely had some serious mental issues. I think he and most of the Jackson kids were handled very poorly right from the start. All that money and fame at such young ages. Janet seems to be the only one who even remotely has her head on straight.

I was always one to poke fun at the expense of MJ and always thought it was all in good fun but never really meant any harm. However people need to relax and understand a few things.

1. He was never actually convicted of any of crimes
2. He was at one point the biggest human on the planet and would literally make people pass out at the sight of him

These things might have already been stated but if you have a problem with what I'm saying then:

Re: Report: Michael Jackson Dead at Age 50

It's odd. Yesterday I was oddly indifferent to his passing. I didn't really feel much. Today, I'm getting more and more sad because, despite the fact that I'm relatively young, he was one of my favorite artists of all time. Very sad that he's gone.
