Re: Riggins rips Haynesworth... Takes shot at McNabb

Riggins stance on Haynesworth is flip floppy at best. I was reading his facebook page last week and he was stating that they should just get AH on the field, now he wants him off the team less than 6 days later. Take a stance and stick to it.

I like Riggo as a talking head and it seems when he was on Sirius he was much more of a homer, but now that he has a show in DC it seems as though his commentary is much harsher than the past. (FYI I only know of a small sampling of his local radio show so don't beat my comment up to much)

I posted in a thread a while back. After Snyder expanded his radio company he temporarily put John out of work. Maybe Riggo just bashes the Redskins and Snyder now partly due to that?

Snyder has little to nothing to do with the decisions the radio company makes. Anyhow, Riggins can say what he wants I suppose. But the shame of it all is that he wastes the valuable input he can offer when he wastes everyone's time with comments like these.

LOL...He's just having fun though I'm not sure he merits the attention Skins fans give him. I'd rather he tell us fun stories about the good ol' days but whatever.

I am sure he has some awesome ones! I heard of a story back when Gibbs was coaching of him peeing in a cup in a meeting room.

He asked Coach to go, but Gibbs would not let him so he just wipped it out and peed. I believe he was late for the meeting and Gibbs was upset with him that is why he didn't let him leave.

Why is the DM comment ridiculous? The only SB he has been in, he epically choked. A few guys in here referred to him as McChoke for awhile til the FO brought him in here. Then all of a sudden he is the next Sonny, etc. The big question that everyone wants to know is why did the Eagles part ways with Donovan in the first place? I don't think he is washed up by a long shot, but that was a rather bold step to dump DM and put the future of the franchise on Kolb and/or Vick. Donovan probably has 5 seasons of ball left in him. This season in my opinion is going to be a "gelling" season, when everyone gets used to the system, each other, etc. We might make a wildcard, but I doubt we will go to the Big Dance. That leaves DM with 4 seasons to win a SB. It definitely can be done, but to doubt it couldn't be really isn't such a ridiculous statement either, since one only has the past to go on.

Re: Riggins rips Haynesworth... Takes shot at McNabb

I loved Riggins with George Michael, Michael Wilbon, and Sonny Jugenson on the Redskins round table on Saturdays before the game. Riggins would always say the funniest things.

I also thank Riggins for what he said months back in season when Zorn was still here, about how Snyder will never win a championship until he changes his ways, and referred to Cerrato as a puppet, and said Zorn would be a great high school football coach at best. I truly think this was the final push Snyder needed to know he needed to change his ways.

So don't hate Riggins, people for saying some stupid things about McNabb and Haynesworth. Half the time he s joking or is just trying to fill radio time by saying some bs stuff to get people calling in.

John Riggins is awesome. The end.

Sometimes he says stupid stuff and acts like an idiot.

For example this particular example.

Re: Riggins rips Haynesworth... Takes shot at McNabb

Yeah Riggins' comments are inflammatory for a reason also, to generate controversy, thus get ratings. The guy has always been incendiary with his comments about just about anything or anybody. He is the Charles Barkley of the NFL. From that little blurb of an article, he really doesn't come across any crazier than his other stuff, nor is it original. Many sportswriters or guys in here said cut the cord with AH. Many in here called Donovan McChoke last season when he was wearing green, and face it he isn't the most consistent QB in that he is hot or he's not. IN that I mean he can just be average or subpar after a great performance the previous Sunday.

Re: Riggins rips Haynesworth... Takes shot at McNabb

Riggins got paid to run- he ran.

Riggins gets paid to run his mouth - he runs it.

The guy has cred and McNabb hasn't done squat for the Skins yet.

Joe T is too much one way, at least Riggo calls it as he sees it. I may not agree with everything he says but at least it's not controlled by DS like some lame a$$ Larry Micheals. I think guys like Riggins and Czaban try to keep it real. Even if they go too far they still try.

Is McNabb an improvement over JC? Who knows for sure until they play Dallas? Stat wise I would say hell yeah, but there has got to be a good reason the Eagles sent him packin'.

I hope McNabb plays well, but I am not wholly in the tank for him yet. Also Grossman is a question too. So until the Skins get a QB who dominates all the time the questions remain. Can the Skins win a SuperBowl? Probably not this year , but they are a much better team this year than the last 2 years of predictable garbage.

I predict 8-8. and I hope I am wrong.

I remember Joe Theismann being negative towards the skins multiple times on MNF, and with him acting like a jerkoff to that lady, I just have never liked the guy. He seems to me like a slimy ol dirtbag.

If he was negative, it was probably well deserved because he's generally a big homer.

Here's Riggins hobnobbing with Snyder

Here's Riggins with CP at a nice little get together.

And here's Riggins with Supreme Court Justice Sandra Day O'Connor.
