Re: F...Toyota
I'd love to, but I can't. Too many vehicles (and not enough garage space) as is. I'll buy another one one day, but not any time soon, probably. Whoever buys yours will get a great vehicle.

I like the v6 4th gen 4runners the best. The 3.4 v6's having timing belts, which I hate, and they were underpowered. Other than that, they were great. I just wouldn't fall over myself trying to get one.

Re: F...Toyota
Wow, those are extremely bad cases. The most common symptom is the noise.

If you are hearing it in the car it is going to do that when you put it on a lift.

Re: F...Toyota
If they're really bad, yes, but not all the time.

Re: F...Toyota
So final answer left rear wheel bearing replaced under warranty; so both cpanye and buster were correct on the no wiggle. I have gone to NOVA CC in Manassa for my associates in Automotive so I know some stuff but I am no expert.

Re: F...Toyota
cpayne, are you an auto mechanic or a toyota rep? I am just wondering, you seem very knowledgeable, but a little biased towards Toyota.

![]() I just love cars and I love working on them in my free time. I have ever only owned one Toyota. Buster's Toyota hatred is notorious (do a search for 'Toyota' on this site and no doubt you'll find a myriad of posts where Buster is trying his best to bash them). I feel that I need to set the record straight whenever he throws out his "facts". Not because I'm a diehard Toyota kool-aid drinker, but because I think it's the right thing to do. Edit at 7:30pm *I take back the bolded above. We owned another. My wife bought a brand new Scion tC (a Toyota brand) when they first came out. She drove it for 6 months, decided it wasn't for her, and we traded it for a new Jeep.*

Re: F...Toyota
UPDATE
So they did the wheel bearing still making the noise! They are saying it is the brakes now, whatever just don't charge me. I still say axle bearing or diff.

Re: F...Toyota
Didn't you say you just did the brakes? I replaced my rear pads about a month ago and at 77k, they still had a lot of life left. I hated to swap them, but I wanted to get my new pads on and get everything cleaned up back there.
