I'm worried that Fred Davis is MIA and Shanny's gonna cut his ass.

Look at those guns, I'm sure he could put up well over 300.

Re: Here's what I'm worried about...
The offensive line is still trying to come together. Green Bay was tied with the most sacks in the NFL coming into this week. We all knew this was going to be a big challenge for the offensive line. Considering the competition, I think they did okay. Good enough to win. McNabb did miss some throws but hit some big ones down the stretch. I also see situations where the receivers could help out by making tough catches. Armstrong's touchdown is a prime example. That was a tough catch. Wasn't a fantastic throw but an unbelievable catch. I'm not seeing Joey Gallaway making that catch. I'm loving Banks. He is instant excitement. He can potentially bring back any return. Our return teams have to trust their blocks because Banks is bringing it most of the time. Can't afford the bad blocks. Usually those blocks have no effect on the play.

Its been said that the Texans blocked FG wasnt his fault b/c they overloaded the side. He may have 1 penalty call this year. And we knew coming out of college he couldnt block. I dont think for any reason we would let him go given our lack of WR's. |

What is the deal with Dockery? I understand he's not a zone blocking type of guy. Fine I get that. But the guy that is in his place is terrible. I can't spell his name but he was getting owned. Dock wasn't even active which blows my mind.

We've knocked off 3 of the supposed heavy hitters in the NFC, 2-0 in the division, 3-1 in the conference, again... progress. |

I am worried about the bye week and what our record will be when we get there, but I'll save that for another thread.

They played one of the better DL's in the league Sun. and could not run the ball very well due to it so they had to find better ways to move the ball, ie; passing the ball to the RB beyond the DL but in the open or flat. #2- I think the DL is a work in progress. They are still learning the scheme. I heard part of the reason they did better in the second half was the adjustment that was made. They started playing 3 Safeties in the game and for that it helped out. ... suposedly. #3- I think we play soft at CB cause it's the by product of the scheme. I think they would rather have teams make the small play keeping the offense in front of them vs. giving up the big play and possible TD. Personally it looks like when they play zone coverage I think they give the cushion. When they play man to man they are closer to the line and jam at the LOS. Some teams due to WR's they have the defense might have to play more zone vs. man to man. Just my oppinion. |

Re: Here's what I'm worried about...
On top of what I said above,
I think if the Refs call all the pass interference calls the Packers committed a lot of our drives would have continued possibly resulting in points. But again thats all circumstantial. If they called all the holding penalties the packers committed on offense against our DL they would probably not done as well as they did. In the end the Refs tried to let the teams play. I keep hearing that we could have been penalized on the Landry interception cause Jarmin hit Rogers helmet to helmet. Refs didn't call it. |

Well Ace, that's the thing about predictions. You can't change it if your prediction doesn't go right, it's there for better or worse. So if we do go 14-2, well then you'll look like a genius and you'll get to reap the rewards. But if we do anything less than 14-2 your gonna be stuck with the flak, and believe me there will be flak. You can't change it once you post it.

Re: Here's what I'm worried about...
Boy does anybody realize how much progress we've made? We won 4 games in 16 tries last season. We've already won 3 games in 5 tries this season. 'Nuff said. Sure they weren't dominating wins, but the fact that we won these games, against 3 playoff teams from last season, speaks dividends. Obviously there's a lot of work left to be done but this team is above and beyond what we had last year.
