Re: Source:McNabb to ask for release after season.
McNabb backed his agent.. said he'd like to be back but things would have to change, etc
Redskins Insider - Donovan McNabb supports his agent's fiery statement

Re: Source:McNabb to ask for release after season.
I would hold on to Mcnabb until we receive a draft pick or had to pay his bonus. Who cares if Mcnabb not happy? If he would had played better we would be in the playoffs...nice dirty ball. I like when the media say he is so classy, but what they don't say is he was terrible this year.

Minny is the best fit for Mcnabb.

I wouldnt sleep on Seattle and San Fran. Whitehurst has been horrible and Hasslebeck is done. San Fran will be looking for a fresh face.

Re: Source:McNabb to ask for release after season.
but is McNabb the best fit for Minny? I think that they'll be looking past the let's get a QB that can win us a SB mode this year.. Tavaris has shown flashes of being starter material and Joe Webb last night did a couple of things to make you say hmm

It won't be McNabb guys, this relationship is like AH and MS was.. He will be traded to Min or AZ for a 3rd. Rex will be the starter next season

Re: Source:McNabb to ask for release after season.
not sure if you guys saw this Donovan McNabb, not Washington Redskins, should be setting exit agenda - ESPN
McNabb "deserves" to play for a Superbowl contender? Ummmm didnt he play for one for 10 years and couldn't get it done?? I am so sick of athletes signing huge contracts and then complaining about the terms of those contracts. |

Re: Source:McNabb to ask for release after season.
Yeah, this dude has more apologists than anyone. I don't get it? Why do people rush to his defense like he's the second coming. He's was a slightly above average qb when he was mobile, once that stopped, he has been a below average qb with horrible accuracy. All of those screen plays in Philly with Westbrook taking it for 10-15 yds really helped his completion percentage.

Now you could make the argument that he's on the wrong side of 30 and he's not going to be able to rely on his mobility as he used to, making him an "average" qb. I still think he's got some good years given some playmakers and oline. |

Re: Source:McNabb to ask for release after season.
One thing you guys are forgetting is that everyone was saying that we where dumb for benching DM in the first place. That tells me people still think McNabb can play and I see a 3rd for him.

Re: Source:McNabb to ask for release after season.
I'd take a 3rd for him in about .0001 seconds. Also those teams didnt see him in camp andevery practice like Shanny did.
