F*ck the preseason. If you're going to tear an ACL, wouldn't you rather it happen in the regular season?

Should have reduced the preseason by 2, expanded to 18 regular season games, and started training camp earlier with an offsetting reduction in spring OTAs.

If this happened week 1 or 2 it wouldn't be any different.

At least it's early enough where he'll have enough time to properly rehab it.

You're right, he would still miss just about the whole season either way. But it just sucks to lose guys in meaningless games. I just hate it.

?? I dont get your point at all. mattyk was saying it does not matter if it happened in a regular season early on or the pre-season. I dont think he was trying to use anything for player evaluation.

I've never rehabbed an ACL, but it's apparently a LOOOOOONG process to do the rehab. The earlier, the better. Didn't Jarmon and Rogers tear their ACLs?

Yeah they did. It's like Matty said, at least it happened early enough that we know he'll be back in time for training camp next year.
