Re: John Riggins to be featured on 'A Football Life'
He started the Mohawk trend, who doesn't love Riggo? I guess cowboy fans.

Re: John Riggins to be featured on 'A Football Life'
Riggins was a good football life; not one of the better ones though.
Wasn't a fan of the narrator. I felt like they didn't share much of the stories on riggo with the skins. They really focused on his pre football and college and net days more than his skin days I felt. I would have liked to see the family side of riggins with his wife and daughters. I felt that with all the times riggo would say "I had a beer" that he would get into his stories of him drinking a beer before the games or practice or meetings which we had famously heard.

Loved how he came out in full uniform when we was inducted into the team ring of fame. That's classic Riggo for you.

Re: John Riggins to be featured on 'A Football Life'
Just finished watching it, loved it. At the same time though I wish there was like an hour more of it. I'd like to know more about the Pardee era Riggins, and how he became a Redskin to begin with. And then how he felt about the trade for George Rogers, etc.

Re: John Riggins to be featured on 'A Football Life'
Funny story about John Riggins and me. Many moons ago I was like 8-9 years old and my dad was in the hospital getting surgery. One day I decide I want to call his room to talk to him. So I dial the number I've got written down and...well you know where this is going...I dialed the wrong room and John Riggins answered! He was getting operated on as well (back surgery I think). I was so nervous I literally threw the phone at my older brother for him to talk to Riggins. I think I just said "feel better" and that was it. He was really cool about it, "thank you, that's very nice of you" or something like that.
