A great running game. RG is probably going to struggle and their run defense was 19th in the league last year. Alfred and Helu need to take over.

Good special teams performance. I think this is going to be a close game, so field position will matter a lot.
If the run game gets going, RG3 will be fine. If not, we'll be in trouble offensively. I def agree this will be a close one.

If the Skins are playing from behind 10+ in the 4th with Watts and Clowny teeing off sweet mother of pearl!! Better call the amber lamps ,that would be a nightmare. But hopefully we'll be comfortably ahead in the fourth. HTTR

Rak said he's good to go.

I don't think Porter will be missed.

I don't either, call me crazy but I think Bashaud Breeland is gonna take that job by the horns and channel his inner Chris Horton and force a turnover or 2 on Sunday and get everyone to have an orgasm.

Shameless self-promotion. It is what it is.

Skins 27 - Texans 17

The defense sets the tone with 3 turnovers leading to a couple early FGs, and 6 sacks, but gives up a few big plays.

AlfMo - 1 TD, 120 yards, some key 3rd down conversions
RG3 - 1 TD, 230 yards passing, 1TD 20yd rushing, sacked 3x, 1FMB & 1INT
DJax- 1 TD 90yds

Wasn't Porter a chump anyway? Thought Breeland had beat him out on the depth chart already?

Good to hear Rak will play. We need him playing. I just want him to stay healthy for a season.

I'm stoked for the game, heading back to my old college town in Frederick to watch at The Greene Turtle. Woot!

Anyone who's expecting Griffin to come in and light it up will be sorely disappointed. Morris needs to be lights out.

Agreed.

Briggers and Breeland should more than compensate.

I don't think he's going to light it up. But we need a running game for him to be efficient. If there's no running game, you'll see the same RG3 we saw last year and the preseason.

Re: Redskins v. Texans Pregame Thread

I expect a lot of misdirection plays aimed at clowney to get him thinking. One play I hope to never ever see again is the pitch back to Morris.

We didn't have another experienced SS on the roster who had played a game in the NFL. Rambo is a FS who is being moved to SS out of nessecity. Thomas has never been healthy enough to play a game and the other guy (Davis I believe) is best suited as a special teamer who could develop into someone who can play from scrimmage.

Yeah I think this move totally flew under the radar. If im not mistaken, this guy had a hell of a game against us last year.

Re: Redskins v. Texans Pregame Thread

Nacho is a hitter. They can at least use him on a safety blitz. He'll get Fitzpatrick looking over his shoulder, for sure. I'm going to assume that he'll play on ST, as well.

I believe that he'll help us - not save us, but help us this season. Picking him up is a good example of team building.
