Guess he thought he could get it there even under pressure. Again i do not see the old kc stupid throw there. Or a throw that cost us a game. More a qb trying to overcome horrible pass pro at a crucial moment in a big game. |

Re: Eagles round 2. Pregame
Kerrigans not a dynamic player. He gets sacks because he's a solid pass rusher who never gives up. You rarely see him just dominate a lineman one on one
What's special about him though is durability and consistency(knock on wood). I had to look this up to make sure, but he has never missed a game in 5+ seasons! And his lowest sack total is 7.5 in his rookie year, since then he's averaging 10 a year |

Re: Eagles round 2. Pregame
The fact we spend so much time dissecting one of our better players just amazes me.

And then we hear "Man, we miss Amerson. Guy is a baller"

I think we all love Mr. Ryan Kerrigan and 10 sacks are 10 sacks and there is no such thing as a garbage time sack .... but he has not been a consistent force this year. He was in the first eagles game where Lane was just suspended and he abused that rookie RT whose name starts with a V. Hopefully Ryan can get off again this week.

Re: Eagles round 2. Pregame
We've played a lot of good defensss this year, would anyone say someone looked unblockable? Kerrigan is good and when he's out our defense is totally different.

Re: Eagles round 2. Pregame
Calais Campbell looked like a man amongst boys. Of course we were really banged up in game shuffling guys all over. But I see your point. Fletcher Cox scares me this sunday.

Re: Eagles round 2. Pregame
Kerrigan isn't flashy and won't ever be mentioned with the Khalil Mack's/Von Millers of the NFL, and I guess that's not good enough for some. He's a solid player who does a solid job at a critical position. I think the fact that our d is rarely clutch reflects poorly on him, when it shouldn't.

While he does scare me too, Fletcher cox has been a major disappointment with the Eagles this year. Got paid

Re: Eagles round 2. Pregame
I think we have a tendency to want to see more from our solid defensive players because those players have shown they belong in the NFL and we think they may have the talent to give even more than they already do. It's unfair in the sense that the thing that could enable our capable players to do more would be to have better players playing next to and around them.
Conversely, there is little reason to expect more from players who have been around awhile but haven't done much, so we don't talk as much about those players needing to improve. The old saw that "You can't polish a turd" applies. Our top players on defense will never reach their full potential on this team unless and until they have better players working with them.

Re: Eagles round 2. Pregame
Yeah everyone on other teams are always ballers and our guys couldn't start anywhere else. Like all the early season circle jerking about Orakpo ballin (9 sacks) or Lorenzo Alexander ballin (10 sacks, same as Kerrigan), ugh so silly. |

Mack is definitely a baller (11 sacks) while Kerrigan with his lowly 10... just meh. Most quiet sacks ever while Mack's start god damn tsunamis. |

IDK having at least one sack in 7 of his last 8 games kinda screams some level of consistency to me. |

Re: Eagles round 2. Pregame
Kerrigan's not paid like a Von Miller either. We're getting what we need from him, for sure. The defense has issues but he's not one of them.
