I am losing respect for this team. Sure the weather stunk, but you are on the bubble for the playoffs and are trying to come out and win one for the memory of ST. They looked uninspired to say the least. I mean when Wellington died last year, the Gmen stomped us 33-0, and that was for some fogey the players probably didn't really know that well. ST was Mr. Redskin and was well liked in the clubhouse. They should have stomped the lowly Bills. Now we are realistically looking at 7-9. The team should be ashamed of this. ST deserved way better than this!!!!

You try playing under these circumstances. You had to know this could happen. You just can't understand the toll it takes on a person unless you've gone through it. If you didn't think this was a possibility then you aren't a thinking human being. They might not win again the rest of the year. I have trouble being too upset after this loss. Disappointed? Of course. Pissed off and ready to curse the team? Not a chance. Get a clue guys, come on.

I'm not pissed about how they played. I'm pissed about the poor defensive play calling with 56 seconds left on the clock and that stupid 2nd timeout. I don't blame the players at all. I think they played great with a few lapses for the most part. Playing zone with 56 seconds left and giving up HUGE yardage down field is GW's fault for those awful calls. God. :frusty:

Re: Let's win for Sean: Bills vs. Redskins game thread

yea im as frustrated as any skins fan over this loss... but i was almost 100% sure we werent going to win. the bills are another 5-6 (were 5-6) team like us who really are better than that, more talented and all just like us but after the death of sean tatylor.. the normal week of practice being all haywire and the funeral tomorrow for the team, i expected the skins to not be completely ready for this game or focused.

Now we have a Thursday game and i don't even expect them to be ready for that either. They're going to have 2 un normal weeks of football due to #21's passing. I wouldn't be surprised if they don't win anymore games this season because of everything thats happened. I am a true born redskins fan, faithful untill death... but severe recent events lead to severe outcomes. im still very proud of them but i know they are all hurting, which wont help our chances in games (which hardly matter for the rest of the year now)

that and a 15 yard penalty for calling a timeout. who knew that was so unsportsman like? damn joe gibbs for being such a poor sport... calling a timeout.. what a jerk.

Re: Let's win for Sean: Bills vs. Redskins game thread

I guess we're back to "normal" now. All week long it was all "God, I love this team" "They have my support" "I feel so sorry for what they have to go through"

But now we're back to pissing all over them.

Look, I've said a few times this year this was a trap game because the Bills are undderrated and Edwards is a smart, up and coming QB. I didn't know Marshawn Lynch would be out for this game of course. But I also didn't know Sean Taylor would be dead.

This is what you're going to get from the Redskins. Unfortunately they have not been able to close out games/drives, and I'm sure someone will trot out that halftime lead stat for the 80 millionth time. They can compete with just about anyone in this league. But more often than not, they can't beat them. It's something that needs to improve, but it starts on the field. Not with the playcalling. Campbell has to be the man now, and know when to fucking throw the ball away. The O-Line (save Heyer) is chock to full of veterans. They've been in the league long enough to know they have to fucking protect their QB.

Yes the Skins should have not put themselves in that position, but to lose like that.

I have never felt like this but I am almost ashamed to call myself a Skins fan today.

Bottom line - the O-line lost this game. They were outfought from the first snap. At least Gibbs is taking his share of the blame for the 2nd timeout.

i have been giving joe the benefit of doubt on questionable calls for the last 4 years always saying to myself that hindsight is 20/20. but not knowing that rule is inexcusable. i have known about that rule since joes first tenure.

That is gonna be a long plane ride to Miami. Their spirit is broken. I just heard Gibbs. He wasn't aware of the double TO rule. He took the heat for the call before Sonny even asked him. I think they will be inspired play hard on Thursday. I am usually critical of the team I root for. I have an understand of how a loss of a friend and coworker can impact your performance,
