I think Manning either returns to the Colts or retires. They will draft Luck and hope Manning can play a couple more seasons.

Giving up multiple high round picks for a 36 year old QB with some serious injury concerns? I just don't see the Skins making that move.
Plus why would Manning want to come here? If he was traded, he's gonna want to go to a team ready to contend right now. |

The team that would benefit the most if Manning was traded, would be the 49ers. Alex Smith would be a FA, they have a young QB in the wings that Manning could mentor and are a playoff team.

Guys like Hasslebeck for instance are more the exception then the rule. Warner also did it with Leinart but beyond that I can't think of many guys that actually took their young backups under their wing.

I think for guys like C. Mortenson & J. Clayton who are paid by espn to not only find info about players, but also to offer insight & predictions (read opinion) on players' & teams' moves, linking Manning to the Skins is simply the low hanging fruit of their hypothesis. Correct me if I'm wrong, but nobody has actually reported any facts other than salary figures.
Hope we are not in the manning talks when the draft approaches, unless Allen can use that as leverage to broker another deal. |

I don't think you can call what they're doing a 'rebuild'.
And at the same time its not quite win now. Its somewhere in the nebulous confusion that occurs when your HC is your GM, two positions that are often at cross purposes. |
