Never recall referencing Glenn Beck as God? I've got no problem looking in the mirror and refuting campaign garbage from the Obama camp. Perhaps you should have a bit more of an open mind and take a detailed look at the Romney/Ryan plan....but to each his own.

Our publice education system is a mess. We spend a ridiculous amount per child, yet are in the middle world-wide in performance. More federal programs and expansion of the DoEd isn't the answer. Reduce federal programs/requirements/regulations, send grants to states, allow title 1 dollars to attch to student not school.

Ask yourself this question, why do private schools educate their students better than public schools with less cost-per-student.

They don't.Reduce Federal programs ??? Public schools are all ready doing without, arts, phys Ed,music...etc,now you want to take what is left ...what is that lunch,in some place's the only meal of the day for kids..grants to the state and not the school ,so the schools in the really nice areas....that can afford their public education ,take from the ones that can't?
Requirments/regulations ,...like what ?You say "We spend a ridiculous amount per child, like howmuch and why do you think it's rediculous?Just seems funny that this wasn't an issue under G.Bush but now it's Obama's fault?

Never said this wasn't an issue under Bush. NCLB was a well-intentioned attempt that hasn't produced results, it really only forced statewide testing requirements and teaching towards testing standards.

Schools only receive about 12% or so of all funding from the fed. All I'm saying is rather than push regs down on states, just give them grants to administer education that works best in each state.

Just do some quick research on the amounts spent per child in the U.S. In many places it is far more than the amount to send a child to a private school.

You've got to stop believing all the garbage labels that Dems/libs throw at GOP/conservatives. We aren't the "evil rich" or "clinging to our guns/bibles". We want the best for everyone is the U.S. We just believe giving more money to the fed isn't the answer, and history shows we're right (look at Europe and our National Debt).

If there was any impropriety, I'm 100% confident Darrell Issa would be on TV 24/7 bringing attention to it and having officials testify before Congress. The fact that he hasn't would give me pause if I were accusing the Administration of doing shady backroom deals. But that's just me.

I think if you dig deeper into the failures behind these companies they just couldn't compete with green companies abroad, namely China, and we started to pouring money into a black hole.
What gets me about the Solyndra deal is that Obama was warned that they had problems but ignored his own staff and gave them the money.

Missouri Republican claims ‘legitimate rape’ rarely results in pregnancy – CNN Political Ticker - CNN.com Blogs

You didn't get this sort of bat shit crazy back in the days, so what the hell happened?

Quote:
"First of all, from what I understand from doctors, that's really rare," Akin said of rape-induced pregnancy in an interview with KTVI. A clip of the interview was posted online by the liberal super PAC American Bridge.

"If it's a legitimate rape, the female body has ways to try to shut that whole thing down," Akin continued. He did not provide an explanation for what constituted "legitimate rape."

He added: "But let's assume that maybe that didn't work or something. You know I think there should be some punishment, but the punishment ought to be on the rapist and not attacking the child."

In a statement Sunday, Akin wrote that he misspoke in the interview. He maintained his opposition to abortion for victims of rape.

Here is another facepalm:

Quote:
Akin - who sits on the House Science, Space and Technology Committee - has long held a hard-line stance on abortion.
This dude is on a science committee talking stupid shit like this?...lol

Asshat is claiming to "misspoke" yet still is against abortions for rape victims? OBVIOUSLY YOU DIDN"T MISSPEAK YOU DUMMY!

Leading from Behind

Barack Obama cancelled three operations to kill Osama bin Laden before finally going ahead with the mission at the insistence of Hillary Clinton, according to a new book.

The explosive allegation is contained in an expose by journalist Rich Miniter, who argues that the White House’s carefully-crafted narrative of Obama as a decisive leader who dispatched the al-Qaeda leader despite the doubts of advisers is a myth.

Please don't help re-elect this charlatan.

I have a feeling not a single solitary sole will back up this man's claim. (probably because it's most likely not true) It's hard for me to believe the guy who's ordered 10 times the drone attacks that Bush ever did, assassinate Iranian scientists, to back down on killing Bin Laden. It doesn't add up or or even make sense. He's trying to sell his book to the far right crowd looking for another reason to hate Obama, and no better time to cash in than the 2012 Presidential election.

It's not the patients that have benefits cut, it's the providers. Here's a link from CBS: That myth has been debunked by every major news outlet for the past week. Center, left and right -- they've all clarified and made the point clear.

Another article in today's New York Times. Please read this.

http://www.nytimes.com/2012/08/19/op...pagewanted=all

It's also a fact, every independent study shows that Medicare's solvency has been increased by 8 years.

Again, I think because you want something to be true, then in your mind it's true. That's not how it works, Slingin'
So you think they can cut funding and payments to the providers and not have any affect on the patients.? You do know that doctors limit how many medicare patients they have because they don't make enough money off them to pay their bills. You reduce it even more and what do you think your going to get?

Not a huge deal to issue a no-go on a high-value target attempt. Would be interesting to see what info and sources are really there. "Unnamed Joint Spec-Ops" sources ain't cuttin' it.

I actually sort of applaud the guy. Not because I necessarily agree with his position but because if you're going to be against abortion you really have to be against all abortion. Oh and the death penalty too. This non-sense where people purport to be anti-abortion except in cases of rape and/or incest baffles me. I mean if your stance is that life is life at conception then the nature of the situation resulting in conception should be irrelevant in your mind. Right?
