Now they got a QB on the same level if not better than Brad Johnson but they are willing to let him go because he isn't the guy who is going to run around and make plays like Brett Favre(IMO).

so if we have now committed to 44Million over 2years, shouldn't that be enough to let him know he is "wanted" here? His twitter post, "Tag! I'm it" seems pretty snarky at this point, almost as bad as some of RG3's

The optimistic side of me is hoping the Redskins FO is diligently working behind the scenes to get deals done that will benefit not just KC, PG, and DJ, but the team as a whole AND the fan base thus putting all the rampant speculation to rest. IDK blind faith?

This is obviously a bad marriage. It is time for a trade, reportedly they will not trade KC. However, that is likely posturing. The Redskins cannot act as if they are desperate to trade.

How is it a bad marriage??? Both sides may not be buddy buddy but KC is now getting well over 40 million over two years for good play.

The exclusive tag, in my mind, changes everything we've speculated on. No other teams can negotiate with Kirk Cousins now. That's not to say there's no longer a chance that a trade deal might take place, but in my opinion, if the Redskins were open to a trade deal, they would have tagged him non-exclusive.

I don't think they're open for a trade UNLESS someone gives them the farm. All this media talk is just that.

They have had over a year to workout a long term contract and could not. KC has been paid very well, however obviously does not feel he has received a fair long term offer. Or, maybe KC wants to leave.
