Red Tails with the right logo and details could be better than Commanders, but not by much. RedWolves or just Wolves were definitely the top choices.

I still can't buy the trademark argument - for RedWolves maybe if ASU really wanted to fight the battle, but Washington Wolves would have been unique enough with Burgundy and Gold colors that I can't imagine another club/sport having claim to it. We just saw USFL add Michigan Panthers. I am pretty sure the NFL has a team called the Panthers...

Funny you said Washington Snyders. I have always thought when new stadium deal is done and Snyder had financial input it will be Snyder Memorial stadium. I am also assuming he will put himself into the ring of honor at some point for “recognition” to being integral to the new stadium deal.

Snyder isn't going anywhere. I once quoted a friend in the press who spoke to another NFL owner. Turns out he has spoken to around 5 other owners. They all say the same thing- "Dan is a good guy and just wants to win." They don't care about his antics. Nobody cares except his victims and a declining group of fans. The former are paid off and the latter are making peace with this skunk owning a team with a now-blasé name.

And if your name is Tisch, Mara, Jones, or Lurie, why wouldn't you want Danny as owner? The NFC East ownership itself is akin to Danny's personal Squad.

I just tried replacing "Football-Team" with "Commanders" in the url for the New Era team page to see if maybe it would reveal new hats and it points to the existing WFT page.

Just more evidence for those who still need it.
