Offense looked like it had some really nice drives today. And Portis is absolutely back. But these drives have, HAVE, to end in touchdowns not field goals. And of course, we need to convert extra points.

Defensively...were we missing some players or something? Apart from Rogers and MW. And it seemed like every other play was a penalty on the Redskins D.

I think they should have punted the ball just prior to that last touchdown. I'm sure had we done so it would have been knocked as too conservative. But trailing just by 3 points and with the 2-minute warning remaining I wouldn't have taken that gamble so deep in our territory. Of course, who would have thought Campbell would fumble...again.

Tough, tough loss. It's never good to lose to a division opponent at home. And it's not like we can afford too many losses. Now we have to go out and win a game that no one expects us to (vs. Dallas, at NYG). The Redskins could act like half their fans and give up now, or they can get their shit together and move on to next week.
If we had punted that, we wouldn't have seen the ball the rest of the game. We had no timeouts left.

This sets up a must win next week...against a team far better than we are.

It doesn't really matter though. The offense made major strides today, but last year's defense is back. Nothing we can do about that, Gregg Williams has shown that he can't adjust.

Does it make you feel better to predict our demise? Does it make you feel like a big man???? If you can't route for the Skins, then get the hell off this site.

We have a ton of injuries and we're not playing the way we could. Shit happens. We still have a WINNING record as of right now, so to say the season is over (whoever said it) needs to shut up. Stop quitting every time there is some adversity.
Hey man,you need to chill out,we just imploded and lost another game we should have won,the fans are frustrated and showing it,doesnt mean theyre not "real fans"
we needed this game, this is one we had marked down as a win,now we've lost another player and things are going to get harder, accuscores prediction of us going 8-8 is starting to look right on
by the way,its "root" not "route"

That's the funniest shit I've heard all week.

But seriously, all my friends and family appreciate I vent here rather than on them. Moderators should consider that kind of thing before sending anyone to purgatory.

Tough loss, fought our guts out and made some mistakes. Suck it up, still not out of this thing and the D needs to change the scheme with that idiot Prioleau back at Safety.

Hey. All you need to do is visit Anacostia and walk around MLK blvd for a little while. No need to wish a shooting.

Otherwise we're staring last place in the NFC East in the face.

I will take a lot more stock in Street and Smith and the Sporting New preseason mags from now on. They both were pretty dead on. Last place is where we are heading

I didn't wish him shot...just that he needs to be.

It's so freakin annoying. Here we are losing to the Eagles and these non fans (yes they are not fans if they already say we lost to the cowboys a week before we play) are predicting future demise...does that sound like a fan to you????

PS- you don't like me calling you (in general) a non fan...tough shit, don't reply then. You can certainly voice your opinion (for as much as most of us don't want to hear it) but I can't voice mine? Take all your redskins stuff and donate it to charity. There are people out there that actually like the skins, unlike some of you.

Re: Redskins vs. Eagles round II game thread

If Sean Taylor isn't back next week we might as well not even show up to Dallas. This is clearly a totally diffrent defense without him. 20 points allowed in the last 10 minutes is just pathetic.

Re: Redskins vs. Eagles round II game thread

While I don't think that we are destined for last place, our chances at winning the division this year just flew out the window. To me, that pretty much means our chance of reaching our ultimate goal, the super bowl, just ended.

It will be a struggle from here on out to get the 6th seed and make the playoffs, especially since the defense is so very bad. Apparently, our "mastermind" coordinator needs 3 good CBs to cover so much as one receiver.

Re: Redskins vs. Eagles round II game thread

I said it before and Ill say it again. The game has passed Gibbs by. The clock mgnt from the sidelines is horrible and it has been for the last 3 years. Couldnt challange the Mcardell play (with the replay shows he did actually catch)

No emotion at all. 3rd and goal from the 7 and we run a draw? Give me a break. He coaches scared. We can all be fans here and still state our opinion. I also agree with some that GW is not the answer at the head coach position.

No need to start getting nasty towards each other. The Skins are just being the Skins post Jack Kent Cooke era. All I can say is I hope you guys have some backup favorite teams you can root for, either college or pro. Skins will only disappoint you in the end it seems like.
