Re: Welcome Carson Wentz
A while back I said that Wentz is basically Jay Schroeder minus the poor attitude. He is a good deep ball thrower when given time but really not much else. Isn't accurate enough on the mid and short range stuff to consistently move the chains, has no touch and once you knock him around he checks out. But at least Jay could move around, Wentz can't even do that anymore. Looks like that knee injury took away some of his mobility.
If Wentz was a baseball player he'd hit 30 homeruns, bat 190 and lead the league in being struck out. Maybe it works on a team full of stars to pick him up but not here. Not in Indy. He is not that same guy we saw in 2017 that looked like a future MVP. That guy is long gone and ain't coming back. |

What made him so special in 2017 was his mobility and after the knee he is scared to run now which limits his game. O well he wasn't the longterm answer anyway

Knew this was coming. Per Rap Sheet this is similar to Daks situation. If he needs surgery he will be out 6 weeks. They need to get Sam Howell going fucking Asap Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Re: Welcome Carson Wentz
Yeah I know he's the backup and Ron's stubborn ass will go to him but I really don't see why Howell wouldn't play.. We have nothing else to lose

Re: Welcome Carson Wentz
True. I see both sides...I wanna see what the kids got, but also don't want him to get ruined by statting too early..esp with our absolutrly abysmal offensive line.

Re: Welcome Carson Wentz
Well with this Oline, probably a good chance TH could get injured as well. Pretty good chance we'll see Howell at some point this season now.

Re: Welcome Carson Wentz
And if I'm being honest....I don't trust this coaching staff, from top to bottom, to put this kid in a position to succeed

He’ll be out up to 6 weeks, probably the best thing to have happened. https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/c...ks-per-report/

Re: Welcome Carson Wentz
It’s a shit sandwich situation. I don’t trust them to design game plan to protect him and I don’t trust them to recognize when he is ready to play either.
