They freed up about $5M with Romo's new deal.

They'll cut Doug Free. He's as good as gone next off-season anyways looking at his cap number.

yeah, the jets have made a lot of weird decisions in the rex ryan era... if they aren't paying revis, take your picks and be happy about it.

I personally wouldn't want revis, since he never seems to be happy with his contract, and he's missed games recently as well.

I thought they made that deal in order to sign the 2 players they already had deals agreed upon with but were unable to sign due to cap room.

Justin Durant & someone else.

They also cut Armstrong, who subsequently came back at a lower price.

He doesn't really fit their big bruiser system either.

I wonder why the Chiefs released him. I guess they're intent on taking one of the tackles with their first pick and create a monster of a duo at both tackle spots.

At the very least it looks like character was the least among the reasons that led to his release. Lots of respect from his now former teammates.
Eric Winston cut by the Kansas City Chiefs - Arrowhead Pride

@nfltrade_rumors: RT @MarkBermanFox26 Free agent right tackle Ryan Harris will stay with the Texans. Sources: He signs a 1-year contract with Houston.

Don't fear the Seahawks. They just signed a new backup QB. WHEN Wilson gets injured, Brady Quinn will be running their offense (into the ground).

Good match. He could be a good replacement for Ray Lewis....off the field.

Re: Around the NFL Free Agency Thread 2013

@RapSheet: #Redskins fought hard for Winfield. Others too. But it's down to 2 in a whirlwind battle that feels like a big-money deal early in FA period

He's referring to Seattle and Minnesota.

@AdamSchefter: And @Edwerderespn is reporting that former Vikings CB Antoine Winfield is close to agreeing to terms with the Seattle Seahawks.
