Re: 2013 NFL Draft Prospects
Is the cap projected to go up next year. Part of me likes to think that we're getting 18 million in cap space next year but seeing as how contracts are usually designed to increase against the cap throughout the life of the contract you would have players getting paid more this year then the previous year and so on, and on top of that they're probably restructuring deals with the incoming space in mind.

Re: 2013 NFL Draft Prospects
Not far from the truth unfortunately. I would say we have starters, just not good ones. Depends on your view about how to interpret bona fide i guess...

Re: 2013 NFL Draft Prospects
I just feel that, as a group, our defensive backs may not be as bad as Charlie Casserly thinks.
Both DHall and Wilson have played well at CB for long stretches. At safety, I think that Meriweather and Tanard Jackson are good NFL football players. We just need to get them both on the field for a full season. Reed Doughty is just what you want as a backup safety and ST player. Getting Orakpo and (hopefully) Carriker back should help the pass rush, which, of course, should help the DB's. As someone who remembers the Over The Hill Gang that George Allen assembled, I believe that a group of smart, experienced players who play well as a unit can achieve far more than one might think when looking at the individual talent on paper. Our DB's just need to stay healthy and free from suspensions. Of course we need to add young, talented DB's in the draft, and I think we will, but the vets are still going to have to carry us in 2013.

Re: 2013 NFL Draft Prospects
I have three draft scenarios, one is what I want to happen, one is with players slipping to us, the third is the most realistic of what I think we will do.
2nd: DJ Swearinger S, South Carolina 3rd: Tyrann Mathieu CB/S, LSU 4th: Xavier Nixon OT, Florida 5th: Kenjon Barner RB, Oregon 5th: Jon Bostic ILB, Florida 6th: Ray Ray Armstrong S, Miami 7th: Brad Wing P, LSU 2nd: DJ Swearinger S, South Carolina 3rd: Steadman Bailey WR, West Virginia 4th: DJ Hayden CB, Houston 5th: Xavier Nixon OT, Florida 5th: Duke Williams S, Nevada 6th: Marcus Lattimore RB, South Carolina 7th: Brad Wing P, LSU 2nd: DJ Swearinger S, South Carolina 3rd: Steadman Bailey WR, West Virginia 4th: B.W. Webb CB, William & Mary 5th: Duke Williams S, Nevada 5th: Chris Harper WR, Kansas State 6th: Dernard Robinson RB/WR/RS/QB Michigan 7th: Brad Wing P, LSU And yes I did so the Swearinger/Wing thing on purpose. Which one of these would you guys prefer? As much as I like Mathieu, I am partial to the 2nd one

Re: 2013 NFL Draft Prospects
I like them all really, but what I like best is DJ Swearinger coming to DC, he is my favorite safety in the draft, really really hope we can snag him @ 51 if he falls.
