Re: Mega-Merge: 2010 Free Agency Rumors and Reports Thread

Signing Clifton or Pashos could be a good thing or a very bed thing IMO. If these are guys brought in to compete w/ and help groom young studs we draft for LT/RT then Shanny/Allen just made brilliant our MO. If they are the "answers" for our oline problems I expect us to draft in the top 5 again next year. Clifton is older and starting to break down, and we literally have NOTHING for LT talent aside from who we sign/draft.

Defensively is looks like the FO is flailing about a bit w/o much direction. Moving Zoe and Jarmon to LB doesn't net us anything...it just moves around the areas of need. In fact you could say we've already got 5 LBs who are strong potential players in the 3-4: London, Rocky, Blades at ILB and Orakpo and Wilson at OLB. Jarmon and Zoe will require plenty of adjustment time, so they're not starters, and then we still have to fill holes on the DL.

I'm happy Daniels is staying but he's not an every down guy to be counted on. We still don't have a natural NT on the roster so for all practical purposes we have 1 and 1/2 starters on the DL between Al and Phillip.

Clifton is staying with the Packers.

RT Adam_Schefter Filed to ESPN: Packers re-signed OT Chad Clifton. 3 years, $20 million, 7.5 million guaranteed

Ok so here is my wish list....this would make my offseason!
Dansby
Witherspoon (Sign this dude now!, WTF was philly thinking) Plus he has history with hasslet right?
Clark 1st or rolle (clark is a harder hitter)
Dellhome (yes he still has alot left and plays with a passion for the game, not to, mention rex is garbage)

oh and trade los, and landry dont care if its for a 3rd each!

Draft Okung to hold down the LT spot, and a RB in the second Dwyer

Why do you want this guy?
Campbell is very similar....you either want Campbell gone and replace with a draftee or better player or you stick with him.

A starting QB cut? wow...there is good reason for this.

Think of it this way...would the Skins cut Campbell outright?....no way...it is because he has trade value.
That alone should tell you something

The Dansby signing is no surprise once Parcells got in a room w/ him.

Just sign Tony Pashos just for the simple fact that he's an O-Lineman and... he's Greek lol
I'd like Will Witherspoon too.

Re: Mega-Merge: 2010 Free Agency Rumors and Reports Thread

I'm glad it's slowed down. Usually we would have signed 4 new players and everyone would be hyped waiting for the seasons to begin...bring in some new folks at the pace you want Shanny.

Re: Mega-Merge: 2010 Free Agency Rumors and Reports Thread

Delhomme at his insane extension contract is one thing. Delhomme after some mental rehabilitation (?) to regain his confidence, and getting him relatively cheap, is a whole nuther story.

...not that I'm saying we sign him tomorrow. But I bet a number of GM's will talk to him.

Re: Mega-Merge: 2010 Free Agency Rumors and Reports Thread

Think of Delhomme without Steve Smith....wow.
He has now entered the land of the backups....except 3 or 4 teams that flat out suck at QB. Thank goodness we are not one of them.

He is decent....that is all
Campbell is better and still has upside in my opinion.
Delhomme will only get worse over time
