Guys like Hasslebeck for instance are more the exception then the rule. Warner also did it with Leinart but beyond that I can't think of many guys that actually took their young backups under their wing.

mortreport Chris Mortensen
USC T Matt Kalil has decided to turn pro, per sources. Projected as top-5 pick; premier LT prospect. No word on Barkley. #NFL32 #ESPN #USC 36 minutes ago Favorite Retweet Reply DraftCountdown Scott Wright The decision by #USC OT Matt Kalil to go pro more than likely means his teammate Matt Barkley will follow. 6 minutes ago

Re: 2012 QB Prospects (Part 2)
Yes it is great news. I think even if Seattle/Miami and Cleveland jump us to get their QB's (which I doubt both will happen), that more than likely means that worst case we're stuck with Kalil. Not a bad choice, for where we (hopefully) will be drafting this year.

Re: 2012 QB Prospects (Part 2)
We will not be drafting Kalil. That is about as likely as Peyton Manning coming here.
