Re: Should Mike Shanahan be fired?

You know, this subject may want to be revisited at the end of the season. This team still has the look of an under coached team. The penalties are simply discipline. As much as I want this crew to work out. There are problems with this team and they are not solely because of talent.

Also the whole this play worked once so let's run it again, isn't so great when the defense knows it and stuffs the second play. The offense is regressing.

This question won't be such a laugh after we drop another 5-11 season. How many coaches last in the NFL with a record like that every year?

Sort of like a cult of personality in political/historical terms.

But there's plenty of mystery to go around. Mike shows nothing on or off the field to engender, let alone deserve, a cult of personality. What I'm really starting to wonder is if the cult mentality exists outside TWP, or if most fans elsewhere are seeing things clearly already?

It's tough for me to gauge cuz there just aren't a lot of Skins fans out west.
I am a fan of MS always have been and I loved the hire but this team isn't getting any better year by year. Jim Zorn even won 8 games one year

Zorn never had 6 quality starters out due to injury either. That's a lot of production gone.

Zorn sadly team played more motivated.

We r losing because we have poor coaching in every category and a poor FO.YES SHANNY NEEDS TO BE FIRED HE lookes clueless out there and the team since week 2 hasnt looked mptivated.

Keey off season is fire the whole staff hire a new GM hand pick his coach my advice? How about the ND coach ....worked for the49ers maybe it will work for us.

Why is it the colts-miami-rams with a year one coach are doing better than us?. People need to wake up shanny is done and we should be by now at worst a 8-8 team.

Shanny shown us he is overrated eve. Gibbs who was out for 15 yrs of footbal got us back into the playoffs past his prime. Fire shanny he just got here for the money.

You never use injuries as an excuse. Shanahi regime is under .350 winning percentage. Sounds like hall of fame numbers. I had a .375!

BOO HOO. After Shanahans basically given up, with a 33% win% in year THREE after three years of "rebuilding", you are really going to give him a pass like that? It must be nice to be ignorant to reality. Wish I was there. Thats ok, NCSkins, there is always next year, or should I say 3 years from now...............

when are you gonna get tired of the excuses and delaying the inevitable? The blind faith in this POS is laughable, to say the least.

Re: Should Mike Shanahan be fired?

Do the Shanahan's coaching or his staff for that matter strike fear or even worry the opponent?

Re: Should Mike Shanahan be fired?

You win as a team, you lose as a team. Re-evaluate at the end of the season, especially our defensive coordinator. I am hesitant to say fire Mike S, bc then you are under a new system and philosophy and that takes time to set in.

The option works but not every play and that's what we are doing, teams are starting to realize we have no weapons

I am not sold on baby boy Kyle. He should be seriously evaluated at the end of the season.

Agree with your observation, but let's be realistic Shannahan is not going to fire his son, period.

Re: Should Mike Shanahan be fired?

I do not want Mike to go at the end of this year but today's loss was awful. It's not so much that we lost, it's the way we lost. I was reading that Sean Payton might be a free agent coach next year. If he is then if I were Snyder I would seriously think about trying to get him in here. This team has no personality, no swagger, no identity, it can't make adjustments...just nothing. I feel Sean Payton would give us some of those things.
