Re: 2011 Draft Thread Rounds 2-3
Agree with SFSkin, haven't seen a ton of him playing but what I did see looked pretty good. His scouting report and 49 reps in bench sound a lot better than Jenkins' 17 bench reps and lack of stamina. Give me a guy who is tremendously strong with a high motor vs. the weakest DT in this class with questionable stamina.

Re: 2011 Draft Thread Rounds 2-3
Great job tonight. Jenkins seems solid, didn't expect that pick.
Known for a few weeks now we liked Hankerson, that we could add him and multiple picks is great We can use our 5ths to try to move up QB is not a priority tomorrow was shadowbyte sniffing glue during tonights thread?

Re: 2011 Draft Thread Rounds 2-3
I like adding these guys just based on the fact that we have not been able to add a ton of players with a decent draft positions in years. The way they have moved back in the second was incredible. Top notch work, we can really build some depth with all the picks tom and at the very least we should get maybe 4 or 5 guys that can make the team.

Re: 2011 Draft Thread Rounds 2-3
Draft this man. You want smart, versatile, experienced, and high character guys? This man is a future starter.
Clint Boling, Georgia, NFL Draft - CBSSports.com - NFLDraftScout.com Positives: Football smart, durable and very experienced against top competition. Quick feet and can get to the second level and hit a moving target. Technique and hand placement are good. Hands have some power. Can trap, pull and seal effectively. Decent drive blocker. Light on his feet and extends his arms well in pass protection. Excellent Intangibles. Negatives: Not a great athlete. Marginal knee bend and plays high. Waist bends. May not be athletic enough for the NFL tackle position, and may not play with the knee bend and low center of gravity needed to succeed inside. Can be bull rushed. Struggled against elite competition, including Nick Fairley of Auburn. --Brad Noel

Re: 2011 Draft Thread Rounds 2-3
So now weve Got ourselves a real nose tackle. I'm sorry but after today I can't stop thinking about how sick our front 7 would be if offensive lines had to account for orakpo, Kerrigan,..... And haynesworth (playing defensive end).

Re: 2011 Draft Thread Rounds 2-3
So does anyone know if our NT was Jenkins or if he's our 3-4 DE?
SS, who are some of our targets tomorrow and who were some guys today we wanted but just missed?

"Jenkins has experience playing nose tackle as well and could see action there, although Shanahan was clear that defensive end would be his primary position." Per article on Redskins.com. Looks like he can play a little bit of both if we need him to play NT. Looks like we are still looking for a primary NT. |
