Not sure I get the video either. He's pretty much telling dude, this is his last election and he's got it in the bag.

Newt Gingrich is the biggest, self serving politician I've seen since...well, Sarah Palin.

Re: Meet The Candidates: 2012 GOP Thread

You seriously read all of that into a statement between two world leaders? He was stating the obvious, if reelected he'll have more leverage to negotiate an arms deal. That's good diplomacy if you ask me. What's dishonest or deceiving about that? He got caught telling the truth. Secondly, and more importantly, the President can't do a damn thing regarding arms negotiations without Senate approval.

But forget what I'm saying, do you honestly think John Boehner and Mitch McConnell would let this shit slide if the President was flipping the bird to voters? Hell to the no. This would be major news and they'd be pounding this story every damn day. I'm willing to bet within 48 hrs of landing in Washington Obama got John Boehner and Mitch McConnell on the horn and said, look, we were discussing "XYZ" and I'm going to need you guys to stand down for a few more months until after the election. You good with that, John? Case closed.

Newt Gingrich bitten by penguin at zoo, a place where he loves to go | The Sideshow - Yahoo! News

Quote:
Newt Gingrich was bitten by a penguin at the Saint Louis Zoo on Friday during a private tour, zoo officials said.

The candidate was on the tour before giving a speech to the National Rifle Association convention when "he was nipped on the finger" by a Magellanic penguin, Susan Gallagher, the zoo's public relations director, told Reuters on Monday. A Band-Aid, she added, "took care of the injury."

You totally changed what he said and he said nothing about leverage.
He said

"This is my last election. After my election I have more flexibility".

Another words he said I don't have to worry about voters after this election so I'm free to do what I want. The news pretty much looked right over this and if John Boehner or a ranking rep. had said this it would have been major news for weeks.

So tell me First, what is it that "voters" should be outraged over? Specifically? The fact that he talked to a Russian leader or...help me out here.

The fact that he is telling a Russian leader to wait until he does not have to worry about the American voters to work out an arms deal. You just cannot see him doing anything wrong can you. If evrything was so great why does he need to ask them to wait? Its because he knows that the voters might not like waht he is going to do so he wants to wait until after the election.
