Re: Should Mike Shanahan be fired?
Yeah. I think that kind of thing would drive people away there or here. Sean Payton suspended this year regardless, and it's not clear whether he's under contract in NO in 2013, right?

Re: Should Mike Shanahan be fired?
The NFL voided Sean Payton's contract extension making him a free agent after this season. I wouldn't mind seeing him replace Shanny.

Re: Should Mike Shanahan be fired?
Sean Payton would never come here. Parcels disciple, Jerry Jones allie. Don't waste the bandwidth with the discussion.

Re: Should Mike Shanahan be fired?
And it was the truth. I believe Parcells had a 13-3 season, no?

I want Andy Reid. That's right I said Andy Reid if he's fired.

Re: Should Mike Shanahan be fired?
This season is over, it will be a miracle if the team finishes 7-9. After this season it does matter. Obviously the Alfred Morris pick was huge, but how many running backs is Shanahan going to draft each year? With all of the other holes on the team what is the fascination with drafting so many RBs?
You look at the NY Giants in the 2005 Draft the only had four draft picks 2nd Round (43 selection) Correy Webster DB 3rd Round (74 selection) Justin Tuck DE 4th Round (110 selection) Brandon Jacobs RB 6th Round (186 selection) Eric Moore DE Three of those four were solid hits, Tuck obviously being a big time stud. The Skins just don't seem to hit on their drafts like that, period, which is why the team is where it is record wise. |

Yeah, I know I'm being reactionary, but here's a thinking exercise: imagine you're a Broncos fan and the Raiders had drafted RGIII. Would you be worried that the Raiders would be a better team for the next decade? No, you wouldn't be. Why? Because they're the Raiders; they'll always suck. If we fire Shanahan after this season (a move to which I'm not necessarily opposed) then we'll just be having this discussion again in three years. |

Re: Should Mike Shanahan be fired?
You can fire shanahan all you want but it doesn't solve anything immediately. And being how impatient skins fans are, we'll want the 'new' HC fired by the end of the first season.

Re: Should Mike Shanahan be fired?
And here is the new reason. Fire him now, and nothing will happen for another 5 years. Ya, tell that shit to Chuck Pagano walkin. He took a 1-15 team, and they are now 5-3 on a 3 game streak. The team they beat today, the dolphins, have a better record than us in a much tougher division. They are 4-4.
