Seeing a lot of reports that the Raiders want 2 First-Round picks for Carr.
No way.

While I'd rather they fill the QB need via free agency, I wouldn't be too upset if WFT gave up #19 for Carr, but definitely not two 1sts. |

Re: WFT Quarterback Thread - Post SEASON 2021
Raiders haven't said anything about trading Carr. The 2 x 1st thing is press speculation. Even if they do move him, I wouldn't expect more than a 1st and even then that's a push.
The more I think about it, and see the costs associated (picks and contract) with trading for someone else's current starter, the more I'm coming back to bringing in someone like Fitz and drafting a QB. If Smith does try to go another season and doesn't retire/get cut, then maybe we can go with him early in the season, but I'd then expect a draftee to be taking over at some point. |

Re: WFT Quarterback Thread - Post SEASON 2021
Rivera said that the team is not going to force themselves to find a QB this offseason, which is a relief to me. Yes we now have an opportunity to become a team that has great opportunity to enter playoffs and possibly SB but we need to be careful to not mortgage our future for a short-term goal.

Re: WFT Quarterback Thread - Post SEASON 2021
I think Ron has shown he likes to be aggressive but he also has a limit. They went big on Stafford and Cooper but ended up losing out once the stakes got too high. I'm perfectly fine with that approach.

![]() In all seriousness, it sounds like we need to get used to having the team being run by football people, who are willing to swing for a big move, but know when to pull back when the price is getting unreasonable.

Re: WFT Quarterback Thread - Post SEASON 2021
I can honestly say that it feels nice to have the team run by, seemingly, competent people. The next draft and free agency should really tell us a lot about where our FO is as an organization. Really hoping that its not just lipstick on the same ol' pig.
