If I had to pick a new HC right now I'd go with Bevell.

Re: Choose Your 2014 Redskins Head Coach (Volume 2)
If we were to go with Mcdermott, does he stick with Haslett or go elsewhere? Would they mesh well? Would he stick with 3-4?
This article sounds like he might use the players he's got in whatever formation works best considering the situation, which is GOOD! Carolina Panthers Playing More 3-4 Scheme Is Only Realistic on Paper | Bleacher Report |

Re: Choose Your 2014 Redskins Head Coach (Volume 2)
Perry fewell.... Jim caldwell... There is no rational reason to seriously interview either of them.... Unless they're just interviewing bad candidates so the fanbase will be relieved when they hire someone we otherwise wouldn't like

Fewell has faced the Redskins multiple times each of the past 3 seasons, why not pick his brain to get a divisional opponents perspective on us? Point is, the interview process isn't only to fill the empty spot. Sometimes it's also to do some information gathering and it's possible you may hear/see/learn something or about someone that benefits you.

Re: Choose Your 2014 Redskins Head Coach (Volume 2)
Caldwell was 2-14 in his only year as head coach without Peyton manning. The giants defense was almost worse than ours this year. Nether is a worthy candidate for a nfl head coaching position. Id question if Fewell is even an upgrade at defensive coordinator over haslett.

Quote:
Bill Bellichick - 36-44 as Cleveland's HC Tom Coughlin - 60-68 (19-29 in last three years) as JAX HC Sean Payton - had play calling responsibilities taken away from him by Jim Fassel in 2002 after several poor offensive showings; then he was assistant HC to Parcells in Dallas with a record of (25-23) and Offensive Rank in points of (21, 25, 15) John Harbaugh - Eagles ST coach for 9 years , then DB coach for 1 . . . That's it? Mike Tomlin- very successful as DB coach of TB from 2001-2005, then was Vikings DC where his defense ranked 8th overall, 1st against the Run, and last against the Pass, So, yeah, most of these guys did some awesome stuff that I didn't mention, but the point is, not everyone has stellar credentials and everyone has some blemishes on their record. |

Re: Choose Your 2014 Redskins Head Coach (Volume 2)
Well if we hire him he may look to McVay and Raheem. Other possibilities include Frank Reich, James Urban and Paul Guenther, Steve Spagnuolo
