Re: Redskins Interested in TO
comcast said that the redskins have no intrest, that it may just be rosenhaus trying to make teams think that they need to bid higher for t.o.

Re: Redskins Interested in TO
I hadn't realized that he King wrote this in his "Things I Think" section. He also thinks Walter Jones has the biggest head he's seen and last year he thought Seattle and Jacksonville would meet in the playoffs (he was a year off with Seattle)
Point is, it's just his opinion.

Re: Redskins Interested in TO
If Santana was a team player (which I think he is) he wouldn't care. Essentially, Moss would be in single coverage the majority of the time. You can't tell me that a team would leave T.O. in single coverage, he would break the single game receiving mark. In Saunders version of Air Coryell, there will be plenty of balls to go around.
T.O. would be great for so many reasons. How would you game plan for the Redskins offense? With T.O. you get the entire package. He is the prototypical possesion receiver except if he breaks a tackle he is gone. He is too big, strong and fast for any corner in the league. He takes 5 yard catches and turns them into 70 yard T.D.s and the most important part, he is in the prime of his career. Also, he is an insurance policy. What if either him or Santana gets an injury late in the year? They still have a number one to go to. If they signed him they would go from turnaround story to the favorite to win the Super Bowl and the best part is they would be taking the most talented player from the Eagles and preventing him from going to Dallas at the same time. I think it is a risk worth taking. |

This is another of the how many TO threads? I'm sure there are more to come before training camp starts. Everything you say may be true but it ain't happening!!!! for the Skins. Let TO do all those fabulous things for somebody else. Peter King has started another of his rumors, but Vinny Cerato maintains that while TO is a great talent, the Redskins have no interest in him at all. I'll take his word over Peter King. |

Re: Redskins Interested in TO
No way would TO be a good fit for this team. Joe has worked so hard in getting the individuals out of here. We have so much team chemistry and comradory now that it would be rediculous to risk that for 1 person. I dont care what TO agreed to or said, he is what he is, and that is a hell of a receiver with a hell of a personality problem. He has to be man, he has to be #1 and its not going to happen in washington. We have alot of guys that would be #1 guys, that accept the role of the team, FINALLY. You can run names off of guys that would be stand out personalities on other NFL teams, but they sit back and the team is first, and Joe and staff is who to thank for that. In my view TO is not worth any risk, I dont care how good he is. Like he said. "if it looks like rat, smells like a rat, well it probably is a rat" This guy is a New York City sewer rat!!

Now, I'm not running to T.O.s defense I just don't think he's totally to blame here. That along with Drew Rosenhaus stringing him along is a bad mix. |

Re: Redskins Interested in TO
I wouldn't mind seeing the Redskins getting TO if he can make a positive impact. I don't think the skins are seriously in the mix. We have often been used by agents to get more money and more compensation out of other teams.

Re: Redskins Interested in TO
i hope we do not bring t.o. in. He is the ultimate team cancer, it's only a time before he starts destroying all the chemistry and sanity in the locker room. In the event the skins actually do get him, i will not like him anymore, even if he is wearing the skins uniform. i would hope it's only for a one year contract, anything longer than that spells trouble.
