Re: Ramsey to the Jets Nearly Done
yeah, of course. moving up in the 2nd day isn't quite as awesome as moving up in the first day though
at least the jets 5th is very high, so moving into the 4th wouldn't be hard. |

Re: Ramsey to the Jets Nearly Done
The 5th rounder pick will be pretty high in that round and the conditional pick can sweeten the deal. Maybe another team will come along and offer a better deal.

Re: Ramsey to the Jets Nearly Done
offiss, it may be premature to blow up on Gibbs after two drafts for not finding second day gold in the draft. It is talent that needs development. Last year's 4th rounder went on IR, two others were at the bottom of a deep LB depth chart. In 2004, we drafted Wilson and Molinaro, both of whom got playing time that year.
Anyone could cherry pick late round gems that had an impact - after the fact. I just checked last year's draft, and players picked after Manny White had almost no impact that would have helped us. The only names I recognized were Ryan Fitzpatrick (the Rams QB we murderered) and Darren Sproles (a good backup tailback - which we have three of).

Re: Ramsey to the Jets Nearly Done
I have mixed fellings about this. If Burnell went down is Campbell able to take over IE Doug Williams? Yes if he stays he wouldn't be happy but what best for the team. Yes if he went to the Jets for a 5th pick and a pick next year that could be a 3rd. I have to say that there must be another pick next year for this trade to be done in my eyes. Even if he dosen't play! If all went well and we did get a 5th and a 3rd that would be nice but if Burnell gets hurt we could pay a big cost in 06!

Re: Ramsey to the Jets Nearly Done
i would imagine the skins will be looking to sign a veteran qb this offseason to take the place of ramsey.
i'd like to see campbell the starter with brunell 2nd and another veteran 3rd.

The get rid of Ramsey party is fueled by the assumption that Brunell is some how going to get better, that his arm is going to become stronger, all the while playing under Saunders who will ask him to sit in the pocket and take a hit to allow WR to break open, ain't happening! Or they put all the eggs in 1 basket in Campbell and assume because he can throw an accurate ball in practice that he will step right in and start picking apart NFL defenses, DON'T MAKE ME LAUGH! So in short if we are going to compete for a SB this season Brunell will have to do it all year, yea pretty funny, or we bag the season and allow Campbell to learn? Or we keep Ramsey who right now probably has the most going for him to actually push us to a contenders status. |

Re: Ramsey to the Jets Nearly Done
Let Patrick play where he wants to play. He's a good QB, not great, but good, and he has more of a chance starting as a Jet than a Redskin. Two draft picks is fine.

Watchout If Pennington Goes Down Ramsey Will Have Some Kind Of Breakout Year And We'll Once Again Live In Regret Of Letting A Qb Go. Also See.......rich Gannon, Trent Green
