Re: Bigger disappointment?

wow... I clicked the D thinking it would be a little closer poll. I was very dissapointed. Their recievers kept getting alot of seperation and there was no pressure on BJ. *I really like that nickname... BJ*

I feel like the offense will come together... (not that the D wont) but the offense looked much better than anything I saw in preseason. The starting D looked much worse. I mean, they were pushing everyone backward for the first couple of preseason games... just out-grunting them and blitzing and even pushing teams out of field goal range several times....

not sure whats happening but it needs to stop. We looked bad at times last year without Griffin and Springs, so if we need some depth... maybe we think of trading a couple of picks for some corner or line depth...

Re: Bigger disappointment?

i also voted the defense as a bigger disapointment. the offense actually looked pretty effective, that effectiveness only came in small spurts but it was definately there.
the defense looked overwhelmed(sp) , there was no coverage on the wr's and absolutely no pressure on the qb, the run defense was decent.

Tyler Jones would have knocked it down. Trust me, this kid can kick. I am from Idaho and am a huge Boise St. fan. This kid kicked our ass in High School. He is accurate as hell and hits the end of the endzone 90% of the time on kick offs. Bring him back Joe

Re: Bigger disappointment?

The defense was a big disappointment. However we have 6 new people on the defense. I think the defense will come along. Remember we were one dropped pass and one bad penalty away from a victory. Evan then if ARE makes the first down on the last drive we still win.

The offense look better than it did in the preseason but what happened to Betts. It looked like he lost a step to me. He was always one step from breaking. I liked the sweep play but I don’t understand why we keep running it with Betts. Why didn’t we run it more with Portis?

Also where was Cooley, Patten, or Lloyd? I don’t remember Brunell even throwing to Patten.

Re: Bigger disappointment?

The defense was absolutely awful...did they ever get off the field without the help of a Williamson dropped pass? If they did I can't remember.

I thought the offense moved the ball pretty well except in the red zone. I don't know what the time of possession was for the game but it sure felt like the skins did not have the ball very much becasue when the Viks had it they usually kept it for 10 minutes at a time.

Awful awful awful defense...

Re: Bigger disappointment?

The offense presented us with a chance to win. The defense kept giving up too many 3rd down conversions, and Sean Taylor didn't help things with his two 15 yard penalties.
