Aikman is good. Like AMD said, he's not a homer. That's what I like the most about him.
You know who I think would be interesting in the booth, post retirement, is Mark Brunell. He has that telegenic look and well spoken. |

I liken the announcers in football today to the lack of talented pitchers in baseball. There are so few that do it well that it is all just watered down. There are only a few who do it well. The rest are so much worse and feel they have to fill in dead air with inane banter. Who tunes into a football game hoping for a boring game? Cross is horrible on the radio and just as horrible on TV. I miss Pat Summerall and the old school guys.
