And why is he so mad about the question? He doesn't even look like he wants to put points on the board. He just wants his rating to look good(which he has only managed to do four times this year), so that Gibbs can talk about how well he played. |

First of all, Favre has broke 340 yards three times this season. Brunell has not broken 340 yards in three seasons in Washington. Second of all, the Packers are actually in the playoff hunt. Third, he's Bret Favre. How can you even mention him in the same sentence as Mark Brunell?

Re: Brunell is all class and tough as nails...but now we have to say goodbye
I really didn't want to see Brunell go out without accomplishing what I believe was his goal when he agreed to come to Washington, and that was to win a SB before he retired. That's the dream of every NFL QB, but unfortunately for him it's not going to happen, at least not here. I supported him for a long time after he first arrived because I wanted to believe he could still get it done, but after watching him closely from the end of last year till now, I was convinced that despite the fact he still had the desire, he no longer had the physical ability to get the job done. I do appreciate his efforts, and wish him well in all his endevors after football.

Of course he's ticked off who can blame him? The entire team has had a rough season, he is well aware that the team in struggling and he's not playing well and he has to deal with morons asking him "tough" (obvious) questions. Good for Czaban, he really showed Brunell!

Brunell looks as poised as ever in front of a mic. wish he stood there and dodged pressure half as well on the field.

Re: Brunell is all class and tough as nails...but now we have to say goodbye
My goodness, tempers are wearing thin here on the Warpath...
![]() Maybe it makes y'all feel better to insult each other--if so, then have at it. At this point, all us skins fans are feeling pretty low. Brunnell is done and needs to sit. Said it last week after the win over the boys, saying it again. But at least there's a POTENITAL fix there in Campbell. The D is much more worrisome, and potentially a long-term problem. Arch is a complete bust--the highest paid specialteamer ever. And he's not great at that either, IMO. Carter is doing nothing. Even when single teamed he gets no push or pressure, much less sacks. The secondarys is in dissaray--lost one safety to FA, another to injury, then let one vet CB go, and lost our #1 to injury. And AA, Rumph, etc. have been the replacements. How do you fix that? And Carlos "the Cushion" Rogers has taken a step backward, as has Taylor. And Marshall isn't Pierce at MLB, and Holdman is Old, man. Daniels has never had much of an impact and he's been hurt agin this year. Our rookie DTs are fine next to Grif, but not game-breakers. We even got rid of Cedric Killings, whose name alone made him cool. Lots of work to do there, folks. Here's what must happen: 1. Start Campbell. Get him expeirence, see if he can play, and he can't be worse than MB right now. 2. Start Rocky. Same thing, but as per Holdman. 3. Draft on the D-line and in the secondary. 4. FA the same, plus line o-line depth. 5. The coaches need to sit down and really re-evaluate everything from top-to-bottom, ala the Baker Iraq commission. I think between them they've got the football smarts to fix it, but "stay the course" is no longer an option. 6. Maybe let some other o-line guys get a shot to see if they can play and to see where we need new folks. 7. Win a few games going out, especially against the NFC east and at home. Restore some pride, damn it, and calm the faithful down.
