It looks like Trent is done in KC. I would almost be willing to bet a mortgage payment that he is our starter next year.

We will probably trade Cambell for a 5th rounder.

I think the point is, if Campbell is our future, and our seaon is lost already, we need to know what he is capable of. The only way we will really know that is if he has a chance to play.

I think Rypien was 27 when he first started for the Skins. He spent his first couple of seasons behind Williams and Schroeder

How old was Rippen before he had became a full time starter?

I would feel like someone hit me in the face with a shovel...this can't be serious...if they start collins, its as if they're throwing darts at a board as a decision making process

Throwing darts is much more scientific that the process that Barnum & Bailey er our front office uses.

I think we all need to check our math LOL:

Jason Campbell was born on 12/31/81

Phillip Rivers was born on 12/8/81

They are both 24 right now and will turn 25 next month.

Matty did. and again, Campbell has only seen another color uniform across from him during preseason. that and starting a season couldn't be more different.

No one is arguing that. The point is, it's not always the best thing to throw the young guy into the fire before his time. This isn't something local to what Gibbs does apparently AND it's proved to have been good for QBs like Green, or Rivers.

Re: How will you feel if its Collins instead of Campbell?

Rivers will have almost an entire NFL season in his resume before Campbell gets his first SNAP. that situation has less to do with our current situation than Mark Rypien.

Rypien?? Rypien didn't play earlier because the leather helmets used back then chafed his enormous skull.

That's your opinion...but the fact is that Gibbs isn't the only coach who believes in giving the young guy the clipboard for a couple years, and it's proved to be just as effective. Moreover, the season isn't over yet, and we may in fact see Campbell either this weekend or possibly sometime before the season is over.

i would like nothing more. whole point is that its overdue. a lot of those young QBs you mentioned stayed sat because the vets in front of them were producing, or were at least being competitive. the same can't be said about our situation.
