Who's to say that Vick isn't the "big cheese"?
This whole thing makes me sick, someone has to have a seriously black heart to do this, I hope he never plays football again.

Why would the feds give the option only to Vick to rat out the other operations? Why wouldn't they pressure Vicks cronies into releasing the information? That way the feds not only take down Vick, but also get the other kennels. I am sure that Vick isn't the only one that can start naming names and locations...

Thats a great post there 8588, I just feel that since Vick was the ringleader of this little circus, the feds would think that HE would have the contacts in the other rings that were mentioned, but i did also notice that his cousin Devon Boddie who was the one they were coming after for the drug raid, and was the one, admittedly, took primary residence in the house was not indicted.... i thought that was seriously odd!

Grim,

I'm not exactly sure why you seem to get emotional whenever someone utters Vick's name. Just because he hasn't been convicted, it doesn't necessarily follow that we cannot speculate about his moral fiber. We're not sitting on the jury and he will get his "due process."

PS - Nice that you refer to the dogs that Vick allegedly killed as those "stinkin' dogs."

Re: Grand Jury Indicts Vick

The sad part of this is that kids do look up to these guys. Vick came from the projects and how many kids have watch him become a star and had dreams of becoming a football player like Vick. My nephew started going to his first football games when Vick was playing VT and he became a hugh fan of Vicks. I cannot even count the stuff he has had signed by Vick as a VT player and a couple of things from Atlanta. Now he is thinking that he needs to take down all his Vick stuff because of what he has done. I talked to him last night and he said even if Vick does not get charged he cannot ever support him again. I asked my sister if he did not decide to take down his Vick stuff would she make him? Right now she has not decided.

Re: Grand Jury Indicts Vick

After reading all 18 pages of the indictment I can’t see much of a defense for Vick and his gang. This whole thing makes me sick. Like jsarno already said you really must have a black heart, or be a sociopath to treat animals this way. I mean they really couldn’t find something else to bet on? Killing dogs in this fashion is deplorable. Especially for no other reason but the dog not testing well. This behavior is so cruel to me that I can’t even begin to understand it. Would it have been that hard to give the dog away? At least the humane society would euthanize the poor thing in a civil fashion. You don’t have to electrocute it or heaven forbid slam it to the ground until it dies. I have less then zero respect for Vick and I seriously hope that the NFL suspends him for life. If him playing more games in the league doesn’t give the NFL a black eye then I don’t know what will. I guess they could let O.J be commissioner. But other then murder not much else can top this. You must really have some mental issues if you can find pleasure in making other animals suffer. Screw Vick and anyone who defends this kind of behavior.

Absolutely agree...by the way it was me that made the black heart comment.
It really angers me. I haven't been this pissed at a peice of news in a long time.
I hope he never gets to play football again...and if he does, I hope everyone boos him every time he touches the ball.

Sorry about that jsarno. Your black heart comment rang true to me. I just edited it to give you props for the comment.

It's no big deal, just wanted to make you aware of it.
I think we are both pretty appauled at Vick and his actions. It's a shame the country doesn't have stiffer penalties for things like this. Who knows, maybe we'll see a "Vick" law in the future.

I was thinking the same thing. Hopefully this will shed so much light on the subject and bring such stiffer laws. That the ignorant people out there that take part in dog fights will see that animal cruelty just isn’t right.

"Riggo44: ps. Do you thing the Chargers made a good trade in the 2001 draft? Vick or L.T? With hindsight being 20/20 that sure isn’t to tough.lol"

In addition to the trade you mention, and as I said previously in this thread, they kicked Matt Schaub to the curb earlier this year which now really looks bad. Now Joey Harrington may be the one to take over as QB and that isn't a good thing. Good luck Dirty Birds.
