Even is we were playing the Pats I could not pick them to loose. I might not bet on them but I could not pick them to loose.

Skins shut down the one and Collins finds those holes in the Vikes D.
skins 31
vikes 17
We are also due for a game scoring over 30.
Well I was close. It was a great game but thought I'd rub this in on the 19 who picked against their team.

Angry Re: Redskins vs Vikings Predictions

I can't wait for Sunday night! I could easily see the Giants losing their last 2, and us pulling into the 5 seed. Peterson has been slowed in his last 2 games, but something about him scares the ?*@& out of me.

Playoff type football is Run, and stop the run.
They do both pretty well this year.

My heart says:

Skins 20
Vikes 17

My head says:

Vikes 31
Skins 28 OT

UGHHH!

It will come down to QB play I feel it will be a low scoring game but exciting game. TC wins in the game in the 2 minute offense TD to Cooley for a final score. Skins 14 Vikes 13

Re: Redskins vs Vikings Predictions

Vikes D is extremely vulnerable to the pass, and playing on the fast surface, Moss and/or ARE will be big factors.

Redskins 27
Vikings 20

Re: Redskins vs Vikings Predictions

Once again, a game too hard to predict based on the variables: Jackson and his often poor decisions, the consistency of our defense, our strategy on offense, and most of all whether MN commits to the running game. My head tells me that if they truly commit we will have a very hard time finding a way to win. At times our rushing-d has been so inconsistent, and when a team starts running it down your throat the momentum of the game totally goes that direction. Our front 7-8 must have their best game of the entire season to win Sunday night. I hope Godfrey has been staying in shape to stuff the run, and likewise that the d-line is completely healthy and ready to inflict some punishment.

On a positive note man-on-man coverage should get us by nearly the whole game, and Smoot, Springs, Torrence and Landry could still have several picks. This should allow us to concentrate on stopping Chester-Fried-Chicken and Adrian v Predator.

Hail!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!

Cool Re: Redskins vs Vikings Predictions

Remember this fellas, I said it here.

Redskins shut down the run and get 3 or more INT's and get the win.

28-9.

Re: Redskins vs Vikings Predictions

We all know our teams' scenario to make the playoffs, and everybody says that if we win-out and the saints lose one or the giants lose two we are in. Well, why doesn't anybody talk about the vikings loosing our game and then loose the next game after that? I think this scenario is more realistic than the saints and giants. What am I missing here?

Apparently you are missing alot as its not more realistic at all..in fact its less realistic as it not only takes us winning out our final games but we must have help in the form of losses from other teams. Its additional factors that make it less realistic.

As far as the schedule goes it isnt even close. The Vikings play us (2 pretty evenly matched teams) at HOME. Theres the difference that sways that game in favor of the Vikings and then in week 17 we play the Cowboys at home, which is gonna be a tough as hell game by any stretch as the Cowboys DONT want to lose home field advantage throughout the playoffs. The Vikings play their last game AT Denver which could easily be a meaningless game for the Broncos as they are on the verge of being eliminated from the playoffs.

Anything can happen but when you consider the evidence right now, the Vikings have the easier path by far.

Re: Redskins vs Vikings Predictions

I've felt good about this game all week long...Overall, I dont think the Vikings are that good but they do two things well that win you alot of football games....they run the ball well, actually they do that incredibly well, and they stop the run....now I think we can do a good job stopping the run against them, but I dont know how we'll we will establish a running game against them. We are going to need to find a way to establish the offense so that the game doesnt completley rest on Todd Collins.

We are playing good football right now, perticularly on defense. If we dont turn the ball over, I like our chances. I'll go 20-16. I think this will be a very close game, but I feel good about it.

Re: Redskins vs Vikings Predictions

Another thing about the Vikings that I think is pretty misleading is the misconception that they are horrible against the pass. That is really false if you look at the numbers. They are 32nd in the NFL in passing yardage allowed per game but thats mostly because they are so damn tough against the run that nobody even tries to run on them much. If you look at yardage per attempt they are a very respectable 14th in the league. If you look at yardage overall the Vikings are ranked 19th, while not great thats not exactly terrible either. How about points? They rank 8th giving up only 18 pts a game, compared to the Redskins whom we think have a pretty good defense, the Skins give up 20 pts a game...

I think the Vikings are a pretty good team and we are gonna have a helluva time winning in MN. We are gonna have to be on the top of our game to come out with a victory.

Re: Redskins vs Vikings Predictions

After the consumption of huge quantities of kool-aid, I'm going with our boys tomorrow night for the win. I believe they are all well aware that everything counts now and everyone must step it up if they have a chance of going to the playoffs. Plus, if they force Jackson to carry the weight for the Vikes, our chances increase greatly.

Re: Redskins vs Vikings Predictions

been awhile since i posted.....i am taking my skins this week 33-17. i think preparing for the giants last week is much harder than the vikings. that sounds crazy at first but the giants offense is way more dynamic than the vikes. i think given our coaching staff, which i have been impressed with since calling out gregg williams in week 6 against new england, we have a great chance of limiting thier opportunities. i think even if we are forcing them to third and short or medium we still have good chances of getting them off the field....but if we a winning on first and second down, then look out it will get ugly for the vikes....i have tremedous faith in our offense being productive against that defense. they wont do anything better than the pats, cowboys, or tampa bay. we have been through those wars already and we are better because of it, not to mention the eagles twice.......lets go baby!

Re: Redskins vs Vikings Predictions

For the people that say Jackson is a never will be QB, is wrong. He is a young QB with far more upside than most young ones in the league.

Your playoff is over. It was real sweet wile it lasted. You think you have the more experienced team? I say you have the more experienced offenses but what about your defense? Ours blows yours a way. What is that defense wins over.......what?

It is funny how you depend on one man to carry the Vikings against the Redskins. You are hilarious. We have soo many good players on the team that we don't need "1" person to carry us.
