wtf does not being able to read have anything to do with the culture of the club? That has to do with house someone is raised in terms of education. No one knew he couldnt read when we picked him up.

At least the Skins make an effort to look for character when getting players. When you have an asshole owner(JJ) you get dicks as players(Smith, Irvin, Owens, Tank, Pacman, I could go on all day) more so.

You are absolutely right about Manley's reading problem, that's why I changed it.

The only "Smith" I know is Emmitt. How is he a d*ck? Yeah, Irvin had his fair share of f-ups, but both are HOFers. I'll take that any day.

Maybe JJ should be more like Danny boy and overpay for guys like Stubblefield, Archuleta (highest paid safety in NFL history), B. Lloyd, B. Smith, a washed up D. Sanders, T.J. Duckett, M. Westbrook, M. Carrier, S. Richards.

But hey......................these are character guys, right!

Did you read the book...or even the first post in this thread? I'll take HOF'er Art Monk over Michael Irvin...any day

Every time you post, you make errors. Stubblefield and Richard were pre-Snyder

Oh yeah, please tell me which one of these players or the other players "you could go on all day" with has disgraced the Cowboys? How many of these players have been in trouble as a Cowboy, within the last 10 to 12 years? None.

Can you say that about your team?

But you went after Tank and Pac Man knowing full well they have one foot out the door in this league.

The bottom line is no one wrote a book about the Redskins partying/acting like criminal a-holes when we won our Super Bowls. I wonder why.

Apparently JJ and his 4 man babysitting squad that follows PacMan around is having a tough time keeping him in line. He's a ticking time bomb, just like TO who seemed to be whining yet again today.

By the way, did you notice how Santana reacted after getting no catches today? Exactly

There is a SB winner Leonard Little that has actually killed a woman. Guess what? He is still playing for the Rams. If he played for the Cowboys, it would have been blown up 1000 times greater.

Every team in every sport has or had idiots whether the media talks about them or not.

It is no secret that the Cowboys problems or successes are magnified larger than everybody else's. "I wonder why". It's funny when someone mentions the SB victorys from that time, it's all of a sudden "ancient history", but a lot of these things discussed are about players from that time. "I wonder why?"

That's old news right? Just like those SB wins, correct?

There's actually a specific line in the book where a player (unnamed) who played for both the Cowboys and 'Skins drew the following parallel.

Jimmy Johnson would say, "Don't do any drugs or anything because we have a drug test this week."

Joe Gibbs would say, "Don't do drugs because that's not the way we do things here."

Pretty hard to argue with that.

Re: Boys Will Be Boys: The Glory Days and Party Nights of the Dallas Cowboys Dynasty

who was the cowboy player that died of an overdose?he was a rb or offensive lineman i think?all teams have their problems, but all teams do not have owners that cover that shit up like jerry jones certainly did with irvin.if the dallas da had any guts at all,and comissioner goodell too,he'd look into why jerry jones intentionally covered up a major felony.i try to be fair, but the cowboys and players got by with so much back then,it's hard to see how that was fair.dexter deserved to go to jail, but so did michael irvin for at least 10 years.they were arguring over a haircut,i'd hate to think what irvin would have done of they were arguring over something really important like a shave and shampoo over the haircut would'nt you?

He wasn't talking about that game. Dallas obviously loss that game themselves, I believe the reference was to the Giants playoff game. The Giants went on to win the SuperBowl. The Seahawks didn't.

Truth Hurts, huh? I bet. Redskins > Cowboys. Ouch.
