Not sure why the third team would be needed, unless Denver does want a new TE. I am pretty sure Cooley has a no trade clause in his deal, so maybe KC or whoever is going to provide them with that TE. Who knows what will transpire, but it sounds like Snyder wants Cutler. Jason probably will flourish in the AFC West. |

What if we had to trade Campbell for Cutler just to trade down for multiple 2nd round picks in this year's draft...would you then consider it?
I'm for a hold on Campbell by the way. It's like the stock market around here with all the speculative trading. We should be long for Campbell for the stability of our team.

Let's just say for a second that this crazy situation happens and we do trade for Cutler, what does this mean for Zorn? Does it mean that Zorn has a year and he's out if things don't work out or does it mean that DS is giving Zorn more time here (i.e. it wouldn't be fair to judge him for a year with a new QB, therefore he's going to be given two years with Cutler).

I think changing QBs right now would be a big step backwards.

I do, too. Although I'm not sold on Campbell, I think that, now that he has learned Zorn's system, we need to find out if he can be the so-called Franchise QB for this team.
Bringing in a new QB who would face the same steep learning curve that JC faced last season would definitely be a step back, at least in the short term. |

Re: Per Vinny Cerrato, JC is our QB this season!
that's the worst trade scenario i've heard.
let's give up two pro-bowl players in their prime to get a prissy QB who's only moderately better than the one we're already got. |

Re: Per Vinny Cerrato, JC is our QB this season!
Stupid trade. But riddle me this....
What if (and I mean WHAT IF) this is all being put out there, simply to light a fire under Jason Campbell's butt? What if this is being put out there as an attempt to see if he can step his game up to the next level? It's probably just a rumor...I'm just throwing it out there. I think Campbell will be better with more passing options and a better O-Line. Give him a chance!

JC better step up or his butt is leaving as is Cerrato's. This is the make or brake year for JC. I would trade for Cutler next year if he was available, but I think he gets traded to Minnesota.

Re: Per Vinny Cerrato, JC is our QB this season!
Now that Cooley and JC_R heard about a possible trade through a third party are they going to start whining and saying that they demands to be traded??? This just shows again why Cutler is thin skinned and needs to just play the d*** game. Geez.

Re: Per Vinny Cerrato, JC is our QB this season!
I do not understand why the redskins would trade for cutler . JC will be a good qb i mean last year the wr drop alot of footballs our oline is not that good . JC made alot good plays with his feet too Sure he had some bad plays too .Sure cutler numbers are better than JC.But Denver line only gave up 11 sacks to our 38 sacks last year. I am sure JC may cause some of sacks too. And Cutler has been the same system since he was drafted . Beside the Redskins paid high price to draft JC . It was a trade with denver back in 2005 and i think this year JC will become pro bowl type qb . Also i think the redskins should lockup JC before the season start

Re: Per Vinny Cerrato, JC is our QB this season!
I've figured it out!
Patriots: Get Julius Peppers and the Browns 1st rounder Browns: Get Patriots' 3 2nd rounders and Fred Davis Broncos: Get Brady Quinn, Redskins first rounder, and another future pick from another team Panthers: Get Jay Cutler and cash consideration Redskins: Get the Broncos first rounder, the Panthers 2nd rounder, and the Browns two 2nd rounders Isn't trade speculation fun!!
