Re: How will you measure success?
I want to see Jason's yards per attempt jump up over 7. 6.4 is borderline atrocious. 8 would be an A, 7 is a B. And 6.4 is a low C.

Re: How will you measure success?
Jason Campbell- improve reads, don't stare down receivers, get the ball out quickly, keep turnovers low
Devin Thomas- improve route running and overall effort, make some catches for us, show up as a number 3 or better receiver, preferably 2 quality (quality, not necessarily designation) Malcolm Kelly- get and stay healthy, show signs that you might have something to contribute to the team, some of devin's stuff Albert Haynesworth- do what you've always done DeAngelo Hall- show that you could be a number 1 cb on nearly any team, get a solid number of picks, don't get burnt Honorary Recipients: Zorn - adjust better to adversity in a game asap, open up the playbook, find out whether campbell deserves a new contract here or elsewhere, keep working with colt Fred Davis - make us incorporate more 2 TE formations on plays that aren't power runs, give the Redskins the best 2 TE set in the NFL Last edited by tryfuhl; 04-07-2009 at 02:15 PM. |

I agree more protection will lead to more downfield attempts.

Re: How will you measure success?
So the question is simple, what would you consider success from:
Jason Campbell- -Continued progress in the Zorn's WCO, -Increase playmaking i.e. making plays with his legs when the pocket breaks down both passing and running -Have more Redzone passing attempts (Cooley, Kelly, Devin, Davis) -Develop a chemistry w/ Thomas and Kelly really focus on getting them involved in the offense - If pass protection allows it take more chances downfield - Exhibit more command of the offense and ersase the doubts Devin Thomas- -Come into camp in shape and know the playbook -Get the opportunity to showcase his playmaking ability via the hitch, the comeback, the screen pass and the reverse -Continued progress in Z's WCO, show enough ability to move ARE to the slot and to move Thrash to the 5th receiver, -Show the ability to really fight for the deep ball go up and get the ball at its highest point, -Develop chemistry w/ Campbell on the Slant and Deep Post routes -Get a chance to contribute on KR/PR Malcolm Kelly- -Stay Healthy -Work his way into th 4 WR packages -Work w/ JC on the Slant -Stay healthy -Emerge as a Redzone threat on Fade/Fade stops and Slant routes Albert Haynesworth- -Play like he did w/ the Titans -Push the other DTs especially Anthony Montgomery to reach his potential DeAngelo Hall- -Continue what he started last year -Don't forget the fundamentals of tackling and run support -Strive to be great, use that talent, prove that you can be great all-around corner -Become a leader, push Rogers, provide a good example for Tryon I want to add more person Zorn/Offensive Coaching staff: -Get the young receivers involved even if it means having 'packages' -Attack more with the passing game especially in the Redzone -If protection allows, take more chances on throwing it deep -Don't forget about Fred Davis, actually use the highly touted Double TEs formations |

Maybe that's the only reason he hasn't sued you for everything you own yet!

Re: How will you measure success?
Add me to the list of people who think the Skins need a Division title to have a truly great season. As for the metrics of individual success, the only measuring stick I've got in mind is for Campbell..89 or better QB rating and at least 11 wins as a starting QB this season.
