Re: Kevin Barnes might be a beast undercover

I love the addition of Barnes, he's definitely a playmaker and he makes up for the Tryon follie last season. I wouldn't throw Smoot under the bus so soon. Smoot plays injured a lot, when most players wouldn't suit up. I definitely see him being tied as the 3d CB at seasons end. Sidenote, I hope Tryon is able to punt return this season.

I think he's going to fire Smoot up a little bit. I'd love to hear the talk between them.

I sure hope so, I like Smoot but he's not same; he lost a step..

The more I learn about Barnes, the more I like him.. I think he definitely has potentials to be a really good CB.. Although he needs to bulk up more, if he's able to, then we would have two physically CBs in Rogers and Barnes.. That is if we will extend Rogers...... That would be totally sweet.

I agree. I think he's going to be a good fit here but like you said, he needs to gain some weight. Hopefully he gains a little muscle in the weight room.

Smoot will be retained beyond his playing days as a Redskin to become our defacto mascot. Basically he'll do what he does now but in a different uniform...jeer and taunt the opposing team, players/coach/staff/fans all included, and generally make an ass of himself on the field. See what I mean...not a lot will change.

If Barnes develops quickly we're in a good spot if we extend Rogers or franchise/trade him for a pick..

When Wynn and Daniels' one year tenured contracts are up, We could move Orakpo to permanent DE to fill the gap then go after O linemen and LB in the 2nd and 3rd rounds. Believe it or not we have all of our picks next year. We mayu be able to get compensatory picks also.
Wow draft picks it will be weird to pick in the 1,2,3 etc., p.s Love the Pick

who's mayu? j/k but already thinking of the 2010 draft huh? I kinda hope since he is projected now to go in the top ten that we arent drafting high enough to get him.

Shameless self-promotion. It is what it is.

Mays would be a good pick; I like Eric Berry as well, but I doubt we will go down that road.. We probably will go for an offense (line?) player..

Yeah, I am sure its all in good fun and camp competition. They will push each other and maybe we will finally have a solid, reliable nickel/dime tandem
