There's either something fishy going on or some major incompetence. Of course, if it's Napolitano's call...no real surprise.

We also do not have a DHS Secretary after 3+ months. Why not? Sure, Daschle was exposed to be a criminal, but why are we leaving this and so many other important Cabinet posts vacant so long?
See my earlier post as to why border closings will not work in this situation.

An important thing to remember for everyone is that this particular strain of influenza is susceptible to two available drugs on the market: Tamiflu and Relenza. These deaths in Mexico are probably multifactorial-- but I imagine access to these two drugs was not available in most cases.

A bit out of my realm--though I did grow up in Burtonsville with guys that had close relationships with their farm animals. I can refer you to a veterinary psychiatrist at USDA in Beltsville...

When I made this goofy joke early I randomly came up with the name Edgar because I think it would be a funny name for a pet pig. Now I'm freaked out because Patient Zero's first name is Edgar.

Weird...

Is it just me or has anyone else noticed that all conservatives do is list problems but they never have practical, realistic or feasible solutions? It's black and white when there's color. It's either or never both. It's left or right but straight is forbidden.

Lets kill all the pigs in the world! Make them extinct! Sure no more bacon or hot dogs but we could also get rid of type 2 diabetes. Kill 2 birds with one stone and by the way I am not too fond of the hummingbird either.

aaawwww, poor hummingbird...what did he do to you?

About getting rid of pigs, well, there is a reason certain religions do not think it is "clean" meat and will not eat it.
