Wow Dgack you almost saved the day, good try bro! Is it just me or is everyone just getting a little to sensitive these days? You make an idiotic comment....you deserve a little bashing. Man up and deal with it, thats life.

The forum guidelines for this site need to be revised or removed. No one is made to adhere to them any more. Personal attacks are welcomed and encouraged more often than not. It's frustrating for those of us who try to play by the rules.

Although I take no offense to this thread at all, I agree.

Re: Pineapple Je5us (Colt Brennan tribute)

Wow...I just pulled up the first page of this thread and read the post of the person who had the gripe with the thorns. I then read 4-5 response posts and became extremely bored.

I skipped straight to page 4 to read some good Brennan hype and people are still talking about this nonsense.

...BORING!...if you have thin skin I advise you to put the keyboard down, the internet is definitely not for you.

I would also like to remind everyone who wants to have a say in this particular thread that we should respect every single person no matter what they believe in.

Just keep that in mind when the discussion turns towards dogma, religion etc. in a football related area of this forum. Things seem to be getting a bit ugly and there is no reason for it at all.

Who cares...

Someone please strike up an irrational contention of how Colt is going to become the Tiger Woods of QBs this preseason and then win the starting job outright from Campbell and then Vick before Week 1 begins.

...that's foolish of course, if he ends up doing that well he'd be our savior...

Uh-oh...not this again...

Wow this topic got outta hand because of 1 dude. Insane. That's the problem with the internet. Pineapple Jesus in no way mocks Jesus or any religion. Perhaps someone should actually read the bible...

I like to picture Pineapple Jesus in a tuxedo T-Shirt because it says I want to be formal, but I'm here to party.

Re: Pineapple Je5us (Colt Brennan tribute)

Well, since I was the one who came up with the nickname I suppose I should speak...from high above the mountaintop as I look down upon my children of this Earth (hold on let me put down these two stone tablets so I can focus)...but seriously

When I came up with the nickname, my first thought was someone is going to be offended by this I'm sure. But then I thought, why should they be. For one thing, I'm a religious (fairly religious) Christian and I didn't find it offensive. Plus, as others have said it has nothing to do with Jesus or religion, or what have you. It's about people's strong beliefs and faith, if you will, in Colt Brennan. And it's a play on the term given to Michael Jordan back in the day...Black Jesus.

Now we probably don't need to be going around calling skinsnut a moron or an idiot or whatever for his opinion. By the same token Nut, writing in big bold letters isn't going to do you any good either. And, again, I think you really misunderstood the intent of the nickname. Trust me, I'm sensitive to religious topics but this isn't one of them.

Besides, does the Bible not tell us to lighten up...Proverb 17:22-A merry heart doeth good like a medicine

And anyway, it's Je5us not Jesus

Look Schneed is schneed, he is gonna call out someone when he sees fit. I agree with what he said to(it is kinda stupid to get all riled up over a joke, especially it's lake of intent).

Could it have been told a different way? Probably.

I agree. As for Schneed being Schneed, I believe others have been banned for just being themselves when being themselves became inappropriate. I've probably caught a couple of breaks from the administrator myself so I'm not going to complain. Skinsnut has a right to his opinion, but he does not control this board. Still, I don't understand the level of anger being expressed toward him. Personally, some of the idiotic "insights" of what's wrong with the Redskins has offended me more and been more deserving of "wrath" than anything Skinsnut has said. I personally have accepted Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior, and look at "Pineapple Je5us" as more of a comment on Colt Brennan and his faithful followers who believe he is the salvation of this franchise than as disrespect to Jesus Christ. If it offends you Skinsnut, perhaps, "Forgive them Father for they know not what they do" would be appropriate here. Or maybe understanding the intent of calling a 3rd string QB Pineapple Je5us. I see no reason to be offended nor am I looking for one. Training camp is here. Hail Redskins!

Re: Pineapple Je5us (Colt Brennan tribute)

Hey folks, I woke up to a wonderous bashing....did I express my offense without error? No...however,

I will never back down at the defense of the name of Jesus....if you need to let the hate out....I am your target....pile on!

I do appreciate the constructive feedback about how to block avatars so I don't see this image as well as the explaination of intent. I know the intent was not intentional, but it still is offensive. I was offended at the Michael Jordon Black Jesus references too by the way....I never said anything then...but to up the ante and throw a crown of thorns on it was a bit too much for me....especially if someone is suggesting making a profit by it by selling t-shirts too.

I don't expect anyone to neccessarily agree with me, I was expecting a more respectful response...not for my sake, for I know how some of you feel about me now...but for the name of Jesus itself.
