the announcers were saying that during the end of the game, when the skins were in a no huddle, that campbell was calling the plays. if thats true then i say let campbell call all the plays for now on because he did a pretty good job.

Re: Greg Blache needs to be held accountable!!
I think my position on Blache is pretty clear by now. If anyone is over-rated it's him. Portis fails to get one yard and it's not his or the o-lines fault, it's Zorns. Sellers drops a TD pass that hits him right in the hands and Zorns a bad playcaller. The offense is going up and down the field better than it has in years, but the players make stupid mistakes once they get inside the redzone and it's Zorns fault.
The defense can't tackle, can't get off the field, plays too far off the receivers, can't get to the QB, partially because the best pass rushing DE to come out of college last year is running around chasing TE's instead of the QB, and Blache basically tells everyone they don't understand defense whenever he gets questioned. We didn't draft an 0-lineman with our first pick, we drafted a DE. We didn't sign the best o-lineman available in free agency, we signed the best DT. We signed a DE in the supplemental draft. We resigned Hall to a huge contract. How much exactly does Blache need for us to have a defense that can get some 3 and outs, some turnovers, and more than 1 sack a game? How much do we need to stop Detroit from marching 99 yards? When he was dismissed in Chicago he didn't get any offers to be a DC anywhere else that I know of. He came here to coach the line for Greg Williams and had the title of DC in name only, Williams ran the "D". Stafford looked like a probowl QB today and it's inexcusable. Blaches comments were that there is a reason the Lions picked him #1. There is also a reason why they were 0-2 before they played us and Stafford had 5 picks in those games. Our offense needs work, but mainly the players need to stop making mistakes in the redzone. We've gotten better players on defense but I have'nt seen any improvement, in fact, we've gotten worse. Blache should be held accountable and if he doesn't like it he can leave.

Lions losing streak, snapped at 19 games.
Redskins streak of games without a defensive touchdown, now at 29 games.

If the D scores, we don't need an offensive touchdown.

Re: Greg Blache needs to be held accountable!!
If the D stops someone we dont either.
If they can't stop someone they could at least get some turnovers. They make more mistakes than turnovers.

I guess Blache should manage self imposed momentum swings...

Re: Greg Blache needs to be held accountable!!
Acutally, I personally feel we should double the salary of everyone on the defense. Including Blache. I mean, they have to watch our offense struggle, and then they go out on the field and...they just look like a team who has somewhere better to be. If we just upped their salary, we could pay them to make football the most important thing during the game.

The defense is light years ahead of the offense. Last year you could blame the line. The line has been fine so far. How do the defense or offense stay focused when the head man should be replaced by the special teams coach. I hate the owner but I feel bad for every one of those players. |

But when our defense performs even competently, we usually win. Go figure. Maybe this has never, ever been about the offense.

Re: Greg Blache needs to be held accountable!!
Im sorry but our D line did jack fkcing shit today. No pressure, give the rook all day to find Calvin Johnson. D looked awful, and dont even get me started on our "stud" rook d-end/LB Orakpo. So far, he has done nothing at ALL.
Blech.

Haynesworth had a sack, got carted off and then came back. Go study Holmgren's playbook, Zorn. |

Would Holmgren come here tommorow and teach it to JZ? Could they bring him in as a special advisor? Snyder break out the check book for a minute.
