I work with a lifelong Eagles fan who said this exact same thing about Philly on Monday after their loss to the Raiders. We both agreed that our teams do this and it should be a close, tough game.

We seem to play well against the Eagles...won 3 of the last 4.

For the people picking the Skins to lose, I see a lot of 30+ point predictions for the Eagles. Remember we still have a good defense.

But the Eagles scored 9 against Oakland so they must tear off a 35 point game against a better defensive team. I think it is actually because in our last game against them they scored 44. Oh wait that was against the cowboys (yes in times of my misery i like to think of that 44-6 thrashing).

I think Jackson and Maclin may score, but, I can't see them scoring in the 30's in any way shape or form

worse than the lions game for me, because i have to listen to all my eagles friends humiliate me. I might have to wear a paper bag if it goes as planned.

I expect a game where the margin of victory is greater than one score

The only way they put up 30+ points is if they score double digit points on defense...which could happen due to the pressure they put on QBs.

We're coming off a demoralizing week with the Samuels news to boot and I think there will be some mail in taking place during this game.

We'll probably take a loss similar to the giants game...we'll never be in it but not a complete blow out.

I do not know if I will even stay up for this one. I hate to say it, but I think Philly is going to make us look down right stupid on National TV.

I expect FedEx jammed with Philly fans. Minus the road trip, it's gotta be much cheaper to buy tickets from boycottin' Redskin season ticket holders/Stub Hub brokers than to attend their own games back in Philly.

Re: What do you expect in the Philly Game

Why Blache has had Andy Reid's number the last couple seasons I can't even begin to explain, but the proof is in the pudding and he's definitely had the defense dialed in to hold the Eagles offense. Would I bet that "phenomenon" continues? I mean Reid is definitely the smarter guy right, the better football mind?

Instead, I think Reid gets surprised (again) because this will be the coming out party for our defense! Orakpo has started to settle in and apart from Hall playing like a pussy on critical plays the defense in dialing it in tighter every game. AND...I think Albert takes this game over as he did time and again as a Titan. 2+ sacks and causing constant mayhem in the backfield.

But I'm not predicting a win cuz the offense is a complete gamble. I will say if the offense is completely anemic again this may be the last high-effort game we see from any team unit this season. If the offense is a nice surprise...well then we win a game before we start losing again LOL.

My thoughts exactly. D keeps us in it, offense looks terrible as usual.

I am benching McNabb on my fantasy team for Matt Ryan. Ryan was my starter, but I had to plug in McNabb against the Raiders. Who would have thunk it!!!!! Skins 3rd against the pass, so no blowouts. I do hope Maclin scores at least once. I had to pick him up as a bye week WR.

If a call player knows his plan and can think one to two steps ahead (zorn's problem, and the cause of many of our delays) I would not think we will see any issues that way.

I think many playcallers use a measurement opportunity to plan 2 or 3 plays, zorn was clear he didn't use it to plan any. I will be glad Tuesday to start seeing threads with titles like "Lewis should be our OC" or "Our offense does have a clue" and going into the bye week on a positive note after all this negativity
I have no idea how many teams relay plays, but our situation is not a good one. For the last 22 games Zorn has called the plays into JC's ear. Now we have one Sherman talking to the other Sherman who then relays the call to JC. A big change. We've had enough time management issues as is. JC was right this week in saying he'll have a play or two in his head in case the call doesn't get there in time.

Sadly, I predict that the offense lays an egg similar to last week, but this time in front of a national audience. How can it improve this week? I just don't see it. Not against a far superior divisional opponent.

We will certainly see on Monday, but I think the time management, and delays were caused by Zorn's methodology. If I understand right, and I really don't know, Zorn waited for a play to end to get the situation for the next play. So in 45 or 30 seconds he had to find the position of the ball get a precise down and distance and then look for the "perfect" play. There were no 2 plays in at a time, or case 1/case 2 scenarios. Thus any wrinkle caused a delay. I hope Lewis is looking ahead, and therefore he can give Smith the play quicker than Zorn could.
Thats my hope and expectation.

Re: What do you expect in the Philly Game

Well the national media and the majority of Redskin fans believe that the Skins will lose big. This is a situation for the players have to be saying its us against the world and no one expects us to win but us. I say the Redskins find away to score enough and hold Philly's offense under 17 points. Redskins 20-13
