I'll take that bet in a heartbeat. There's a good chance we won't win 3 more all year. We damn sure aren't winning 3 in a row.

I've never seen Portis break a tackle like Peterson does, or any other quality running back for that matter. I agree he's lost a couple of steps because he doesn't get through the line fast enough.

Re: Clinton Portis among players who have worn out their welcome
The name of this thread should be get real. We want a RB like Peterson, a QB like Peyton, we want wideouts like Welker. We want a coach like Lombardi. We want the WCO. No team has all that. No team is perfect. No general manager can build you a team like that. Fact is, we should have won every game we have played so far, but we had injuries on the O-line. It's gonna take will take Buges a few weeks to straighten it up. It's called fate. Get real. Why not want a TE like Gates, atleast he can get jump balls in the red zone. Plus, Cooley is a turnstile, ask Peppers.

This should be the "I'm so done with..." thread. Yes, I'm so done w/ CP, JC, Vinny, and our whole coaching staff. I'm ready for sweeping changes.

Re: Clinton Portis among players who have worn out their welcome
I think that could pretty much be the title of every thread on this board. There's not a whole lot positive to say about this franchise right now.

I think you may have Cooley colored glasses on. That's cool. You are a Cooley fan. Nothing wrong with that. But he has his short comings and is responsible for some of the bad play on he field this year. What absolves him from responsibility. Oh I know "Cooley goggles".

You on the other hand seem to have it out for him, for some odd reason I can't seem to figure out nor does it make much sense. But have fun with that. |

Rabach Heyer ARE Rogers Portis Moss (in the first couple of games) Campbell I mean you can have your criticism of Cooley (earlier in the season I criticized his ball security after he had a fumble go out of bounds) but I think your stretching the truth trying to make him out to be a team problem.

Re: Clinton Portis among players who have worn out their welcome
Nice thread tearing down the best players we have...geesh.
Quote:
Looks like he's a valuable part of the team, he's one of the only players actually saying exactly what we are and could actually get some changes made, mainly sending Cerrato packing. He had 1,705 AP yards and 9 TDs last season, even with the destruction of the line in front of him...he still has it. Just as Campbell or any QB couldn't succeed behind the lack of a line this season, neither can a RB, even one as good as Portis. Also keep in mind that this season until Lewis took over playcalling, he has being send to run a stretch play into 5 defenders who meet him in the backfield.
