Jones: No, I'm a LT and that's the end of it.

Vinny: (sits there not believing someone didn't grant the almighty Snyder his wish).

Conversation over...
That storys similar to what actually happened, however you're missing a few key details.

Vinny: So Levi I hear that you're a pretty good football player. How would you like to come play WR for us?

Jones: No, I'm a LT and thats the end of it.

Vinny: Alright I see, you're a tough negotiator. Ok, how about a chance to play RB and I throw in a contract for the veteran minimum.

Jones: You're crazy. I'm going to hang up now, you call me back when your medication starts to kick in.

Vinny: IGottaSuperBowlRing...Hello? Levi? You there? Sorry Danny, I couldn't get that WR/RB you wanted.

By the way how did Levi play today? I heard that JC faced a lot of pressure today. On a team with Ware that can't be a good thing for Levi.

I think Levi handled Ware pretty well today.

might have been better, but also may have been a trouble maker. Read his pressers, and he thinks he is a LT, nothing else. Still wish someone could have convinced him to start at RT knowing that Samuels would have some injury time at least.

I've said this before, but anyone else think that one of the reasons we haven't been drafting the O-line for the last several years has been because of Bugel? I have this weird feeling Bugel told them not to waste high picks on the O-line, because he could "coach them up."

Just wondering.

Wow, where would anyone get that sort of idea? I don't believe that for a minute. Joe Bugel couldn't have lasted this long in the NFL if he tells the front office not to draft linemen; that he can coach anybody. The man is one of the best coaches of offensive linemen in history. You don't get to that point by trying to convince front offices that you can turn garbage into Pro Bowlers. After 32 years in the NFL, Buges has had to tell lots of people that they aren't cut out for football.

I can't imagine ANY position coach not wanting better players.

LOL yeah right?

Buges to the front office: Hey guys I'm fine over here, don't worrry about me. Do I want a first round OL? Nah, just load me up with some undrafted scrubs and I'll be good to go. Should we sign some free agents? You kidding me I've got guys like Heyer and Armstrong to coach up!

Re: Let's Talk Levi Jones and Offensive Line

hopefully next year it will be like this:
LT: Samuels/ Levi Jones
LG: Dockery
C: Edwin Williams/ Matt Tennant
RG: Mike Williams
RT: Russell Okung/ Trent Williams

I really feel the biggest posers on the line is Heyer and Rabach. Heyer was never supposed to be anything more than a back up and Rabach has lost a step. I thought Mike Williams did a good job at gaurd when he played that position and gave us the ability to run on the right side. Edwin Williams is a good and we could draft a player like Mike Tennant in the midrounds to give us a youthful mix.

I hope Chris Samuels never takes another snap in the NFL. His health is more important than a winning record.

How did Edwin and Levi play yesterday? I only got to watch half the game in streaming quality.

Levi did solid job, just like he had done during the Denver game.. As for Edwin, to tell you truth, I didn't think he missed any beat once he started playing.. At least, that's what I saw.. I much would prefer for Ediwn to start as G instead of Montgomery for rest of the season..

I'd prefer Edwin start at Center.
