the big 12 was bad this year, and out of conference texas played UTEP, Wyoming, and UL Monroe...thats pretty terrible. Florida always play chumps out of conference to include charleston southern, troy, and FIU this year...

to defend cincy, they did play oregon state away which is much harder than texas or florida did this year. they and alabama are the only 2 top teams that tried out of conference, besides boise scheduling oregon the first game of the year...

Re: college football 2009 thread

if the bowl structure is maintained id atleast like to see them up the win number to 8 for bowl elegibility. a 6-6 team should not be able to play in a bowl, im sorry. it makes it not that much of an accomplishment to make a bowl if you can be average or even below average.

Pryor's performance launches Ohio State past Oregon in Rose Bowl - USATODAY.com . Some nice bowl games , Bowden wins last game at FSU , Paterno and the PSU Lions kill the LSU Tigers and OSU Buckeye's drown the O. Ducks . Auburn and NW had a game also 38-35 OT . And VT spanked the Vols .......

The Big 10 over-hyped? All I ever hear on TV is people talking about how the conference is no good and will never be able to compete with warm weather schools again. It's looking pretty good today though.

Unbelievable performance by Tebow tonight. Meanwhile Tony Pike has 3 TD passes...yet is averaging less than 4 yards a completion

Wow! I am so glad that undefeated Ciny played a hell of a game against Florida last night, I mean wow! I was on the edge of my seat from start to finish! I mean, what a nailbiter!

Translation:

Holy Shit, why in the hell does a team like Ciny get matched up against a team like Florida; just because they're record reflects an undefeated season? The Gamecocks could go undefeated in the Big East right now. I couldn't stand to watch the game past the second quarter. It was like watching the Giants versus the Redskins. I mean WTF is up with the BCS? They should just take the "C" out and call it BS!

Nice post Angry . The BCS = BC/CASH . They should have a BCS - Playoff , the week before New Years , those games played in DC , NY , NJ , PA , Ohio , Wisc. Iowa , Nebraska ... ect. Then the winners play in the Bowl games . The NCAA is a joke when it comes to DIV 1 Football .

Re: college football 2009 thread

Man what a bummer about Colt McCoy. His one and only shot at a title and he goes out on the first series with a shoulder injury. I thought Bama was gonna roll Texas with McCoy in there. This could end up ugly.

Re: college football 2009 thread

The pass blocking of Bama tonight is reminiscent of the Redskins.

Like I said in another thread, Colt McCoy just became available in the 2nd round. Maybe as low as the third.

Yeah, maybe not. He's having a very nice 2nd half. Wow, as I type this Texas just made it a 3 point game. Bama hasn't done a thing this half. Gilbert is true freshman. Can't blame him for being shaky his first few series. He was a big time recruit coming out of high school. Win or lose, Texas has to feel good about their future with this kid.

#12 for Texas just had a Landry-esque tackle miss. LOL.

Earl Thomas. He's only a sophomore and he's an all-American.

Wow, Texas gets the ball back with 3:21 and a chance to tie or win. Amazing comeback by the Longhorns. Good for them for not quitting. Down 18 at half with McCoy sidelined and they've pitched a shutout ever since.
