I don't think Marshal is good enough to get fleeced in order to get him. We can find talent in the draft and coach them up

I'll just repost what I wrote earlier

Marshall is an unbelievable talent, but it's a stretch to say that he is a "must have" for us. In four years in Denver, the Broncos never made the playoffs, finished above 500 (9-7) only once and the offense never finished in the top half of the NFL.

Do we really think we're that close that we can give up draft picks for a guy who alone won't make much of a difference in getting us to being a winning franchise again? I'd rather have four guys catch 5 passes on a 12-4 playoff team than one guy catch 20 on an 8-8 golfing in december team

^ Plus Thomas and Kelly may step up next year in a way which makes us forget about Brandon Marshall.

There is no way that Shanny will spend picks on Marshall, whom he wanted to cut before, anyway.

Well said. Why on earth would we ship away multiple picks for a malcontent WR when we have such pressing needs at other positions? I think Devin Thomas is well on his way to being the playmaker we hoped he'd be when he was drafted.

The definition of insanity is repeating the same behavior and expecting different results. Giving up multiple draft picks for this guy would be exactly that.

Thomas had one good game against New Orleans who were bringing in d-backs in off the street. Overall he had something like 20 some catches for the year?? Marshall had that in one game. lol. I'm not saying we give up on these guys but either they start producing next year or good bye.

Agreed. We have a somewhat promising looking group, depending on a couple of things. I have pretty good faith that Thomas and Kelly will really show up this year, Shanahan will work things out to help them.

who cares if they didn't make the playoffs? it sure wasn't his fault. we don't have any true studs on offense. all we have is some maybe's... when you bring a guy like marshall it opens up the running game, it opens stuff up for the TE's underneath, the 2nd and 3rd wr's will get single coverage, it will help jc. remember how important burress was during the giants sb run?? we're not talking about brandon lloyd here. if the price is right allen and shanahan need to try and make the deal.

Didn't say it was his fault. Just saying that even with his great numbers they still were never a playoff team. I'm saying in the grand scheme of things his gaudy numbers are irrelevant. I'd rather hold on to our draft picks, and develop something with the receivers we have

If we got Marshall I'm just wondering how long it would take before you would call him a bitch, say you're sick of his act, his complaining, etc.

No s**t. He didn't even want to play through an injury when the playoffs were on the line. Of course I guess that's not as bad as going to a basketball game on a bad ankle.

If I remember correctly he was hurt to the point where he didn't want to hurt the team. Marshall lines up and plays just about every week and rarely gets hurt At least he doesn't flop around on the field week after week like a fish out of water cause he's tired and out of shape.

lol. i'll put up w/ his act as long as he's producing on the field. we've got a few guys who act like bitches and play like bitches. i call it like i see it. when i guy tackles like a girl and then when he makes a routine play gets up and salutes the crowd what do you call it?? gary clark was a bit of a cry baby but he's one of my all time favorite redskins. he showed up every single sun. sometimes when he was hurt and just had total disregard for his body and balled his ass off. he actually HATED to lose. i'll take 53 gary clark's over guys like laundry, hall and albert haynesworth any day of the week.

Re: RUMOR: Trade talks between Browns (Brady Quinn) and Broncos (Brandon Marshall)

To clarify: if the Redskins acquired Marshall, he'd be our No. 1. If the Cowboys or Giants got him, he'd be their No. 2. If the Packers or Patriots or Cardinals got him, he'd be their No. 3.

Obviously, none of those teams at the end would be interested in trading for him, because they don't need a third WR, but I don't know if Marshall would be a No. 1 on more than half the teams in this league. I suspect (but have not checked) that he wouldn't be.

I wonder sometimes do you ever actually watch the games. I mean who on the Giants or Cowboys is better than Marshall? What wr on thoses team has the overall production of Marshall? I mean some of your comments are simply insane.
