Vick admits to laziness and complacency in Atlanta - Shutdown Corner - NFL Blog - Yahoo! Sports

Probably shouldn't surprise anyone. Still it sort makes one wonder what Vick will accomplish if he commits himself to be a professional football player this time around.

not much cause he isn't a good nfl quarterback, he just doesn't have an accurate arm. imo he will be a distant memory in two more years

OMG No way!!! I could have sworn when I saw him all those times in the strip club staring endlessly at his phone, tanked into oblivion that he was watching game film.

Yes you very much can. Sure the top QB rating might not mean you're the best QB in the game and the rating system isn't perfect, but when you've only broken the 80 mark once, never throw for over 3,000 yards in a season, and failed to put up a respectable number of TD passes then you're not a quality QB. Also please consider that at this point the threat of Vick running has pretty much been figured out by every NFL defense. The fact that Vick is almost 30 doesn't help much either.

Heck he basically admitted that he wasn't all that great. Vick was at his best in 2002 where Dan Reeves used him properly. After that it was slowly downhill.

Someone is going to trade for the guy and it will probably be one of the small market teams that needs to sell tickets. As far as his skills go you can't judge him by qb rating and TD passes. He's never going to be high in those categories. Anyone w/ any football knowledge knows that. Where Vick can be valuable is the adjustments the defense has to make defending him...keeping an extra man to spy on him and so forth. Let's face it, he carried Atlanta and w/out him the team fell apart until they drafted Ryan. The guy has skills, he just gets it done in a non traditional way. Can he get back to where he was? I'm not sure but we'll see next year.
